I think that there is no need to have an indian coach because if there be a foreigner coach India will learn the outdoor techniques and indian former players can thereself give extra coaching classes to Indian team without being their coach.

The way things aregoing on, it appears that focus is to get a foreign coach and if this trend continues, I do not think that Indian Team will have a foreign Coach.
However, It appears that there is a move to retain Venketesh Prasad as Bowling Coach and Robin Singh as fielding coach in addition to the Main Coach.

We follow our leaders blindly.see how a national party follows a Gandhi without knowing fully her capabilities and credentials.Once she was rejcted by other leaders to become a Pm and as the rumour goes even president has raised some doubts and pertinent questions.Foreign worship is unfotunately in our blood.I am pretty confident it will soon vanish.respect every body but blindly don't imitate.
Presently indian coaches are in adream world of their own.Chappel was not bad.Our players contention was that he did not play and win the match for them. The BCCI's contention was loss of world cup reduces their income and swindling. So every one is eagerly looking for a scapegoat.
God is one scape goat whom you can always blame. The poor foreigner is another as he can't disclose local politics.
Scrap every body and start from a scratch with known noncorrupt people and fresh blood.Surgery cures where medicine fails.homeopathc dose is not enough for our politicised players.Show them the gate and select eager youngsters. There is no derth of talent in India and we dont have to pacify players even to sign a monetary agrrement.
In mahabharat same guru taught both Pandavas and Kauravas. The arrogant Kauravas always disrespected the Guru and finally were decimated.the pandavas have respect for their elders and Guru. They triumped. Why blame a doctor if you are impotent and can't produce a child.

Last world cup (2003) SA was out of the first round itself, being the host nation. and Eng & WI are out of the first round during 2003 & 1999 WC editions. It all happens, but which team learns from that will come into high end.
Players are not ready to take responsibilities on their shoulder and they are not playing as a team.*

John Wright was the first foreign coach india had, so having foreign coaches is relatively new to indian cricket. I don't see what the fuss is about.

No!
A simple statement that the pakistani cricket board and the bcci give is that the players are not comfortable with a national coach (wierd isnt it!)
