You say we are "born innocent". What happens? genetics!
You are who you are! Take a look back through a serial
killers past....back to their toddler years and up.. you see the makings of what they are to be then. people do not get evil over night.... its in their genetic make-up that makes a person who and what they are. its commonly called the "bad seed". people will be what they are no matter what.. its in their DNA.. hope this answers your question.

Sometime the human being is like a broken toy. Its just that something went wrong with them and they can't be fixed. In the toy industry a toy might be disposed of or fixed or if a toy is not working right we can take it back. If a human is not working right sometimes its hard to tell because humans are smart enough to hide different types of things.
And sometimes the parents of children notice that something is not right with there child, but they don't want to admit there is a problem so they try and cover for that child as long as they can. Believe me for all of the serial killers in the world somebody in there family, or a friend, or just someone in the neighborhood knows that that person had a problem.

The "innocence" of children doesn't come from the fact that they don't commit "bad" acts, its that often times they simply don't know better. They don't have the cognitive ability to differentiate between right and wrong the way adults do.
Think about it: Children engage in all sorts of mischievous behavior. They'll take things that aren't theirs. They'll tease, call other kids names, or even get into physical confrontations. They'll lie. But when a 9 year old does any of these things, we realize that they simply don't recognize the consequences of their actions. Their "innocence" is that they don't know better, not their lack of "bad acts."
As we grow older, we gain more dynamic thinking and are able to to recognize the consequences of our actions. We are taught what behavior is right and what is wrong.
With some people, this doesn't stick. They continue to be as self-involved as they were as a child. And as they grow older, their acts grow older as well, and thus potentially become worse. Paradoxically, a sociopath serial killer shares many characteristics of a child, namely the lacking ability to fully empathize with others. It is by being less like a normal adult, and more like a child, that actually makes a serial killer.
That being said, children are capable horrific acts. In the late 1960s, Mary Bell, at age 10, murdered another child. In 1993, two 11 year old boys, Jon Venables and Robert Thompson, adducted, molested, then murdered a two year old.
This is not to say that outside factors do not have an influence on who a child grows up to be. Obviously environment will affect a child as he or she grows up. An abusive family will more likely result in a rage that can be later unleashed on innocent people.
But the idealized view that children are born without the capacity for evil acts is one that simply doesn't match up with reality.

Yes, it true we born innocent, but we learn to sin from an early age, like cheating , lying, and stealing at school. Or sometimes people resent being bullied, and decide to rebel. But more often than not I think individuals make some bad life choices and it just goes south from there, one thing leads to another. Another opinion is this, when one feels empty inside, whether they are young or old, they find ways of getting their kicks by taking risk. But it is a mental impairment, which probably means this person needs professional help. Or they have lost their connection with a higher power.

People usually do ungodly things because the people they hang around had taught them to be like that, or (in a childs case) beacuse it's the only way they know how to get their parents attention, or that person has had a bad experience that they see things in a different way.

We have inherited sin and there are demonic influences out there. If you dont believe in demons well let me just say there have been weird unexplainable occurances that are "supernatural" where someone thinks they see a ghost, but it is really a demon. Also we are all imperfect people and people have faulty awareness and are in spiritual darkness. People need to know the true God. You can tell if you really analyze it, which religion is true. Christendom? Well they are behind the killings in countless wars and the churches are filled with hyprrocrites and in catholic churches many popes are pedifiles and so forth, so it can't be them. The bible reveals the true God and how you can recognize God's true people. E-mail if you want.

What makes you think we are born, innocent?
Look at any baby in existance. They are the most selfish, self-centered humans living. Nevermind that they are also helpless, their nature is self-centered. Even as children (much less 'helpless' than a baby) the vast majority of kids are "me, me, me". Where's the innocence in that?
Parents must take raising their children very seriously. If they don't, sometimes the child ends up as a serial killer.

It's different for everyone.
Some of us have been hurt and want revenge.
Some of us are poor and desparate and will do anything to survive.
Some of us are just sick and need mental help. Some of us hang out with the wrong crowd and are influenced by their ideas.
But ALL of us need Jesus. Only He can help us out of the mess we're in.

Stress, Pressure, and selfish drives make people snap. America has changed - family isn't valued anymore and independence instead of group work is commended.

"Tabula rasa" that individual human beings are born with no innate or built-in mental content, in a word, "blank", and that their entire resource of knowledge is built up gradually from their experiences and sensory perceptions of the outside world.
