Could the media finally have a scapegoat for Brady and New England? You know that this situation is just a scab waiting to get picked and open up a big wound......even if Moss doesn't do anything wrong. Which, by the way, I hope he doesn't and I don't think he will. I hope he has a phenomenal stay with the Pats. He and Brady could possibly break records together. But, the point is, I personally believe that the media and hateful fans will try to blame every future problem of the Pats on Moss, however unfair that is. It's happened time and time again with other franchises. The "Scapegoat Syndrome". What do u think?

No Terry C, u missed the whole point of my question. U did not read the whole thing. I said that I believe that Moss won't do any wrong. But, sometimes, as most of us know, the media can pick at the smallest molehills and make them into mountains. That's what I'm referring to. I hope the media doesn't do that, but some of them have a tendency to.

I can hear them now...."The Pats won the Super Bowl without Moss. Now that he is here, they don't even make it to the Super Bowl?! The Pats could've saved that money and went out to get help in another area of their team."

Just a hypothetical, foreshadowed, possible quote of a disgruntled media person/mad Pats fan. lol!

Calvin B, you didn't even give reasoning to your answer. Just think about you blurting that comment out in a room full of intelligent people. Now who would sound "stupid" as you put it?

Thanks Notre2007Dame. A fresh comment. I'm not a Brady hater, but it's just that you rarely hear "Scapegoat" comments about certain players. It may happen but not as frequently. That's all......

BagofSwags....u apparently didn't read the whole question either. I believe Moss will do very well with the Pats. But, once again (and for the last time), Moss could simply do something that is very miniscule compared to things that he has done before. Some people in the media absolutely crave those types of situations. They look for the molehills that some players make, so that they (hateful media/fans) can turn it into a mountain of a problem. Hopefully it doesn't happen. I like Moss as a WR and I think he is one of the top 5 (#1 on his good days) in the league right now. But, please, don't try to act like you've never seen that happen before in the media. Just a question to open some eyes. Peace......

Did the media sign Moss to the Patriots? No. Did the media sign A. Thomas? No. There is no way of this Scapegoat Syndrome. Football is played on the field, not on paper. We do not know if players will have injuries. My best guess is not to make judgements now, just wait for the season. If the people blame Moss for this or that, it is just dumb. They should not point fingers at Moss or anyone else. That is just because they can't play the game. Things will happen during the seaon that we can't control. Just deal with it and get over it.

No, it seems like a foolish question, I have no idea where the theory even comes from. The Patriots have never blamed anyone when not making it to the Super Bowl, and even the Raiders didn't blame Moss for the horrible seasons they had with him. I can't even imagine the Vikings did, either. They deteriorated after he left. He was probably just a nuisance and embarrassment, and nothing more. He's 30 now, and much more mature than 5 years ago. He will have good leadership and will behave like a 30 year old veteran.

nicely if Marlon Mcree did no longer fumble the %. yet despite. besides your appropriate and dropping Plaxico i will make sure the Giants no longer triumphing all of it and that i truthfully be attentive to the Titans won't. I see the Steelers or Colts having a competent shot. btw yeah i assumed the Giants have been going to blow balls in final years SB and lose interior the 1st around yet i became into incorrect and that i assumed my Bolts could win all of it until the Patriots whooped our *** so then i assumed the Patriots could win incredibly whilst Moss have been given the flow forward TD i became into like oh the Giants have been close its over yet guess what the Giants got here up with a memorable force and gained.

It would totally depend on how Moss plays and acts off the field. Look at Dillion had a bad rep before joining the Pats and he turned that around and you never heard of anything bad about him.

I'm a Vikes fan and severely miss Moss on that team.

I think you miss the point that the Patriots are the best team and organization in the NFL...Moss wants to win and he will do that in New England...and he knows that...He has already stated that he can't believe he's a member of the Pats...He is thrilled to be there...As for him being a scapegoat, no...If he sucks, he won't play...How long have you been a Pats fan?...Cause if you know how they are run, Kraft HIMSELF said that anyone who doesn't adapt to the Pats system of doing things won't be there...That goes for Moss...That is why he said it...to just make it loud and clear...So, your Scapegoat Syndrome won't happen and doesn't happen with the Pats...

Well, they sure didnt get there (SUPERBOWL) last year and Moss was clear on the other side of the country...how could the blame fall on him?

I (a "hateful" Colts fan) would blame Brady...did you see him wearing a New York Yankees hat? What a jerk!
How did his 60 minutes interview go? something like this..."sure i've won superbowls, make millions and date a super model...but i feel like there is more out there for me."
So he thinks he is the next Jesus Christ come to wash away our sins and heal the world?
Forget him...
