i dunno hoe it becam currupted, but i have a 5.5G 80GB model, ive tried to reinstall itunes, manually putting it in disk mode, restoring it, but everything i do is still showing it as currupted :( if anybody can give me any answeres it would be greatly appreaciated.

Take it back to Apple to have it replaced or take it back to whatever store you bought it from.
My mom and I had the same problem with our iPods (she had a Shuffle; I had a Nano). So we dumped Apple and got different MP3 players. My parents have SanDisks from Sansa and I have a Creative Zen Vision (costs the same as a regular 30GB iPod but it comes with an FM tuner).
If I were you, I'd take back the iPod and get a better alternative. Apple iPods are what I call "shoddy workmanship."
