Aside from being a pimp, ordering the murder of a prosecutor, beating a 'business' rival to death with a baseball bat, and orchestrating the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, he was a helluva guy! Suggest you google him.

He was responsible for the St. Valentine's Day Massacre (and many other murders as well). I stayed at one of his favorite hotels, and saw his suite. It had a good view of the street, and his closet had an escape door so that he could get away if the cops came after him.

The funny thing is that he went to jail for tax evasion, and died of syphilis.

You know, the Kennedy family made their fortune by smuggling alcohol in from Canada. Now they're freaking royalty.

He was a huge mobster. Bootlegging in Chicago was a violent and highly competitive business. He also had law enforcement killed to protect his business. He made Don Gotti look like a saint.
The reason they busted him on the taxes was he was very good at it. No one in his organization would turn on him. But, he made lots of money and didn't report it. If he just made up a false front and report the money to the IRS, he might have gotten away with it.

He was a mobster / gangster. Cheating on his taxes was the only thing he was convicted of, not the only illegal thing he did.
