Ive grown in a family that parties till morning on christmas eve, the kids go to bed and the adults stay up drinking, dances, chatting, whatever all night. Americans(mostly caucasians) go to bed early on christmas eve and wake up early on christmas day and eat, chit chat a little and thats all. is it the culture differences?

Actually, the old Italian-American families did this also. But as generations go by, it fades away. My parents did this, but me and my siblings, now with families do not.
The political correctness does have an effect, but also with connections to the countries of olde disconnected, the traditions of olde fade.
