I think he might of. The reason behind holding him back for saturday's start makes sense. This way he can pitch his first game at Yankee stadium in front of a pumped up crowd. This will give the Yankee fans somthing to get excited about by thinking the Yanks might start to pick up their play now Clemens has arrived in NEW YORK not Chicago.

I'm not saying he definitely faked the injury. Just that its a possibilty.

Everyone is always looking to make something out of nothing. The most dull of all possible answers is probably true. It was nothing more than a slight groin pull that set him back a week. No need to read anything more into it and he will be back soon enough.

the only way the Yankees have a shot at this interest is that if a type of happens. A)The Yankees clobber Westbrook and the Indians bullpen. Clemens pitches stable adequate to get the win. B)Clemens is going 7 innings conserving the Indians to 3 runs or much less. Westbrook supplies up 4+ runs and Joba-Rivera are available in to end the interest.

Anything is a possibility these days. I mean Roger likes being in the media, but he's a gamer. So I doubt it. If anything he felt like the Yanks were rushing him back and threw that out there to buy a little more time to make sure he is ready

No he didn't fake his injury. He doesn't get paid until he starts pitching in the majors, so no way is he going to fake it. Besides his MRI showed he had scar tissue damage. Don't you people read these things before you accuse somebody of faking an injury? Clemens didn't fake it, he's not that stupid.

Wow, thats probably one of the dumbest things I ever heard. Clemens contract isn't activated until he starts pitching for the Yankees, so that right should be enough for you to stop thinking that.

well even thought i'm no yankee fan I don't see the logic in that at all-being as the yanks could have easily scheduled him to start there.

I think he's now having health problems and breaking down because he's no longer on steriods.

Fake an injury so you don't get paid??? I don't think he faked it 'cause he's had groin problems in the past especially last year, and at the rate he went to get back into top shape was probably too fast and wore him out.

I was pissed when he was scratched from his monday start 'cause i was going to get tickets to see him play in chicago.

No, he didnt fake the injury.I do think the yankees are having second guesses and ot trying to bring him to the majors til he is healthy cuz then they could cut him and not have to pay him unless he gets to the major league level.

uh. well it COULD be a possibility. but i highly doubt it cause Torre didn't seem to know about it. yess saturday will be exciting but so would monday. he's older and i don't think it was a fake right groin fatigue. that would be pointless.
GO YANKEES!

Do I think he faked his injury? Probably not... He is old and i am sure injuries and soreness are going to be a frequent occurence. However, do i think it was a publicity stunt. Absolutely, Yankees are the epitome of publicity stunts.
