Way different. Personally I prefer the French.

Its a different culture, different language, different food and there are different general attitudes on a lot of matters in life. I think the French have a lot more appreciation for the art of living while the English have a great deal of business skill and formality.

well of course they're different, so what? is it a problem? I don't think so. We both have qualities but also flaws. However I would say the English are closer to the french than they are to the americans (of course, were europeans).
