You know it's sad that alot of you people think that was a great thing, your just looking for an excuse to be racist, you need to understand it's not their fault that they were born in a horrible place and just want to give their children a better place to live, you would have done the same thing if you were born in that country, we can't all choose where to be born

Presumably in the US, as here in Canada with Social Insurance Numbers, the only organizations that can legally *ask* to see the card or for the card number is a government department, your employer, and that is about it.
If my presumption is true, the idiot violated Federal Law.
As for that kind of abuse chasing the illegals away...nah, the white man will need more reason than that to go back to Europe. ;)
Seriously...a complaint should be filed with the local BBB, the branch of the government responsable for the card(s), and with the owner - assuming the idiot is not the owner. Once that is done, all intelligent and right minded people living in that area should permanently boycott that particular business, until the idiot is no longer employed there.

You tricked your friend into trying to collect social security at a car wash? Impressive.
It's a bad idea to show your social security card around, as it can be used for identity theft type stuff (which is stupid, I know, but people still improperly use SSN's for more purposes than just SS).

That was stupid and wrong. It is not their place.
For the people that think that will stop illegals think again. I can go get a new identity that says I am legal for $100 and have it tomorrow.
Who carries their SS card? Mine stays in my safe unless I need it. I know the number and you only need to show it for employment, FIRST license, Visa, everything else memorizing it is fine.

It is very wrong, ridiculous in fact. Obviously the car wash guy does not like illegal aliens and wanted to see if your friend is one. I would tell him that my money is good elsewhere and go to another place if possible.

Well, he was suspicious probably. This is how bad things are and why they NEED to do something about illegals in this country. I don't exactly agree with what that guy did. But, as citizens, we DO need to be more vigilant regarding illegals. Besides, the guys who planned that JFK airport bombing wer eillegals to...think about it!

That is rude of the carwash man. Your friend needs to call the OWNER of the carwash and complain about the discrimination.

Report him to the ACLU. There is no law that states you must show ID to get a car wash!
[ I'd be willing to bet some of his workers don't have SS cards.]
And who carries it around anyway?

Good for him! My hat is off to him for doing that. Maybe if all businesses did this, the illegals would take the hint and GO HOME!!
