tired of teams that say they are getting disrespected. my patriots do it all the time. the colts did it. the ravens did it.

now we got the spurs doing it?

i swear the "we dont get any respect" is almost as bad as "we're just happy to be here"

Coaches put this attitude in the players minds, in order for them to play better. To make them feel like they have something to prove. When they don't.

Everybody knows the good teams, nobody was really surpised about the Spurs getting into the finals. But most ppl wanted the more exciting teams to get there like the Suns or the Worriors. So most people feel that the Spurs will win because they are a better team, but most fans-(being americans) will root for the Cavs (the underdog).

So the fact that they play with that mantality, is very important. Thats exactly why they are a very good road team.

The Spurs get plenty of respect though they shouldn't because they are a super DIRTY team. Robert Horry,
Bruce Bowen, Tony Parker, Fabrizio Oberto, Brent
Barry, and Manu Ginobili should have all been suspended
from the playoffs a LONG time ago. But all of them are
big babies that wont stop crying.

well usually when teams play the disrespect card its because its mostly true...the colts are a perfect example...this year everyone thought they would choke and look what happend...came out super bowl champs...same as the patriots...no one thought that a sixth round pick qb could win a superbowl as a rookie...he did it two years in a row...and now the spurs...they just dont deserve respect

You have to EARN respect, my friend. You can't buy a Pit Bull and walk him down the street and think you are suddenly respected. And neither can you roll down your car windows when it's 95 degrees, crank up your Dr. Dre CD and think you get instant respect. It don't work that way.

I agree. Respect from who? Why do you care? Just play your sport.

I hate the teams that continue to make excuses after they lose, that's what gets me. Just give the other team credit, move on, and get 'em next year. Perfect example: the Suns of this year and last year.
