agree with math guy, but did you copy the qn wrongly?

because if it is

0.5x^2-1.5x-2=0

or

-0.5x^2+1.5x+2=0

x = 4 or x = -1

which is a nicer ans haha

Assume equation is:-
0.5 x² + 1.5 x + 2 = 0
x² + 3x + 4 = 0
x = [- 3 ± √(-7)] / 2
x = [- 3 ± √(7) i ] / 2
