I'm a Republican - but even though I think all the Democrat runners are pitiful, the Republicans aren't much better. There are one or two underdogs that will never get near the top that I like - but for the most part, I don't know who I'm going to even lean towards voting for!!!

I don't know about what the rest of you think, but I think it's going to be a crappy time in America - whoever gets put in office.

Ron Paul is the only one I would trust. Considering I have never trusted a politician, kinda makes him awesome in my view. I think as more and more people hear his message his popularity will grow. Big media doesn't like him, and companies like Halliburton would despise him, but the people are responding to his message.

Don't buy into what the press and the front-runners are selling you. Support your "underdogs". It's still early in the election.

At this stage in past years, Jimmy Carter was completely unknown, Ronald Reagan was viewed as a right-wing wacko who didn't stand a chance to get the nomination, much less win a real election, and Bill Clinton was polling in the "2nd tier".

The press acts like there are only a few candidates who have a chance. Nothing could be further from the truth. Someone could join from nowhere this early and get the nomination. It is 18 months until the election! Support who you like. If they don't get the nomination, you're always allowed to change later, but if you don't support them now, they'll never have a chance.

I am a republican and I think there is a lot of good talent running on our side. Furthermore, I am sure we have not seen all those who intend to run. Look for Fred Thompson and possibly others to announce.

On the democratic side, there really seems to only be one candidate. What I mean is no matter who you pick they are all basically saying the same things with the exception of Bill Richardson.

I expect that Al Gore will be throwing his hat in the ring and throwing the other campaignes into chaos. If he does, Hillary is toast.

Wow, the republican party has really done their party to add as many sheeps as possible to it's rank, and you, my friend, is case and point. Though we are at the 7th year of an 8-year national nightmare that is known as the presidency of Bush, you still proudly claim you are a republican and that the Democratic nominee candidates are pitiful, then what superlative would you use to describe 7-years of utter, absolute failure and corruption. Anyways, Republican or Democrat it doesn't matter. When you realize Rupert Murdoch of Newscorp (Faux News), the same one that did his part to impeach Bill Clinton is holding fund raisers for Hillary Clinton and then you realize all of these guys belong to the same country clubs and run in the same circle you realize it doesn't matter anymore.

The real question should be, when will we get real representation by our government, what can we do to stop the influence of the special interets, until then it doesn't matter.

The Democrats have some great people, but they are down in the batting order and won't get the nod. Tommy Thompson is a great Republican choice, but you are doubtful to hear his name outside of me mentioning it.

I fear it will be about like last time. Two idiots looking to line the pockets of their special circle of friends.

I agree. If there was a time for an independent centrist candidate to sweep in next year and win election, this is it. There are some people working on that, but we will have to see if they can get their act together.

Well when you factor in the fact that Bush and Kerry were both from the same old boys network (bonesmen) It seems no matter who yall vote for youre gonna get a puppet either way you go.

I think we should reconsider the whole party election thing before we loose all of our freedom I mean it doesn't take a limo or Armani suit for me to make decisions yet it takes how many to make up their mind if we should have better insurance, or medicare left...... and why big dinners to promise us lies this sort of thing

I'm very happy with my choice of Hillary Clinton for President. I think she's the best thing that could happen to this country in a very long time.

Unless someone worthy steps forward, I plan to do as increasing millions of other Americans: stay home and scratch a lot.
