I am way over on the left, and Edwards will lose no matter how far left or right he moves.

He has never done anything as a politician. He was elected as a Senator in North Carolina, then shortly after, he went off to campaign for president and vice president.

He needs to prove himself good for something, other than campaigning.

Edwards already IS far left. Anyone who wants to give social security benefits to illegals and thinks terrorism is a bumper sticker slogan is a far Left liberal loon.

It would hurt him in my eyes, I am a centrist in general, if you think about it pandering to the far left base, or a republican pandering to the far right base only alienates the 60% of americans that hover somewhere around the middle

Edwards is pretty hurt as it is. His only supporters are lonely old ladies who think he's cute.

How much further left can he move?
