I wouldnt count your chickens before they hatch, you still have a long way to go, yes the Red Sox are in a slump, every team has a slump now and then, maybe if the Yankees get withing double digits or withing games you can start to talk about a comeback and as for Clemens, come on now the guys is not going to be your savior. Clemens is 44 and obviously out of shape if he has only pitched in the minor and is already suffering from a "fatigues groin" obviously you are in trouble if you are depending on a 44 year old guy who is coming off a mediocre year in a league where the hitting is worse and is terribly out of shape. The Red Sox despite this slump still have the best record in baseball, are still 8 games up on the second place team and they will quickly snap out of this slump. Once the Red Sox heat back up and start their winning ways again and the Yankees go back to losing lets watch all these Yankee trolls go back into hiding as usual. Yankees fans only talk about their team when they are winning when they are losing they are no where to be found, kinda ironic huh?

Once Clemens comes back, its all over?!
No, its not. Its just beginning. Clemens is around 43 or 44. He isn't the same Clemens from 10 or 15 years ago. He is not going to save the Yankees. He only pitches once every five games. I think the Yanks probably still need to find a way to win those other 4 games. The Red Sox will the division.

I do agree with the fact that once Clemens comes back, It`s over. For the Yankees. You can`t tell me that everyone on the team is happy about him pitching once every 4 or five days and them getting to go home.

I'm a Yanks fan and I'm happy with their play the last two games but they've only won two straight. And if they lose tonight they split the series with Chicago and will fail to make any ground up in their overall record, going 2-2 over this series. Playing .500 will not get us into the Playoffs and i don't care what the Redsox do if the Yankees don't put some long winning streaks together.
Until the Yanks get over .500 I'm not going to be ready to declare a comeback into contention.

They are coming back, but it's still to early to count the Yankees off or to even crown the Red Sox the winners.

you know it pal. Once the lead is cut to about 6 or 7 (probably in a couple weeks), we can relax as the sox fans begin their annual plunge from the Tobin Bridge. This will be the sweetest of many, many come-backs to win the division. It's funny how history always repeats itself.

10.5 games back and they are going to win the division? Why not focus on the wild card first and then in front of the Jays and Orioles then set your sites on the division...baby steps....either way the Red Sox are going to win the A.L. East.
