I am looking to purchase a wetsuit for the first time. however, some sites have actual waist sizes and chest measurements, but others that i have looked at have an inseam measurement and other odd ways to measure for one. what is the best way to measure and is it better to go a size larger if in doubt or inbetween sizes?
and any other tips on buying a wetsuit or where to get a good deal on them?

i am planning to purchase this wetsuit for general swimming/PWC use
and is 3/2 mm sufficent for temperatures above 65 degrees F

Your best bet is to try them on. Wetsuits vary in size and cut and having a suit that doesn't fit basically defeats the purpose altogether. Go to your local surfshop or marine outfitters and try the selection to see what you like best, what fits best and what the sales people have to say. They can usually tell by looking at you what brand of suit and size will be closest and they are usually not far off. They can also give recommendations about sizing up or down based on brand. Some suits run big and some run small which is why you see a lot of measurements.

Good luck!!!

Buy the cheapest suit you can get your hands on, then adjust your diet accordingly ...

Eat more to fill up the space, eat less to be able to stay breathing ...
