If you believe this, what does it say about the faith you have in our military and our strength of resolve?

Personally, no one would be able to convert me to Islam under ANY circumstances.

I suppose they could try to kill me, but I have enough faith in our military that if we were invaded by an army of militant Muslims trying to kill or convert, I don't think they'd succeed.

Our military will never see the invasion force coming across the atlantic in their row boats.

An invasion of the US is the least of my worries. Sneaking across the border with a few bombs is another story. Bush thinks it is okay though, he will give them amnesty.

i've got not considered this assertion made via each man or woman, yet i do no longer doubt that it occurs. I actual have besides the undeniable fact that considered many conservatives recent the theory that if we live in Iraq we are safer via default. it fairly is genuine in a feeling via fact we are tying up their workers, money and different components, besides the undeniable fact that it fairly is temporary at superb. united statesa. is not extra or much less safer than we've been earlier the invasion of Iraq and that's a provided that we are going to be hit returned quicker or later no count number how long the conflict maintains. My difficulty with the terrorism argument pertaining to to Iraq is that evidently many conservatives have confidence that we've the the superb option to maintain Iraq in a perpetual state of conflict in order that we are able to sense safer. I evaluate this opinion selfish and unfavourable. To pay attention too many conservatives tell the tale you may get the impact that all and sundry in Iraq is the two a terrorist or a supporter and that the rustic will in the present day fall decrease than terrorist administration the minute we go away. Then on the comparable time they're going to communicate with regard to the Iraqis as though they love us and desire us to stay indefinitely. Neither fact is punctiliously genuine. My concept is %. a plan and pass with it. the two the Iraqis are terrorists and we could continuously kill all and sundry we are able to, or they're often first rate people who gets up for themselves against that style of oppression, yet we can't have it the two techniques.

YES

Only it happens slowly not in 3 hour movie time.

First all the men come home but 25% have Iraqi wives. As is typical of all people the mother drags the kids to the religion of her choice.

Now we have 25K X 2.5 kids all going to the Mosque on friday and getting bullied on the playground the other 4 days a week.

Are you following this? If the troops come home in 10 years we have a army of 62,500 angry America haters in our midst.

It is better to let the war continue for a few decades in Iraq. That way the angry 1/2 breed kids are Iraq's problem.

No I do not believe this.
This is part of what separates our country from the rest. What our military couldn't handle We The People can. I don't care what your political or religious stance is there isn't one United States citizen that would tolerate an invasion for one damn second. I am a woman that does not believe in war. I try to live a peaceful existence with all. Those I can't I avoid. But no one will come on my land and threaten me. I am a gun owner and will fight for what freedoms are left. And when I run out of ammo I have knives.

I believe they will come here either way. This thing isn't going to stop even if we leave Iraq. Remember when we were attacked? It was on 9/11/01. It will happen again. Let's at least finish in Iraq and stabilize that country so it doesn't fall into the hands of the terrorist Iranians.
And, why do the democrats, who designed this whole amnesty bill, now start griping that it is Bush's fault?

So we should just let al Qaeda establish a base in Iraq, and let the world know it's a "safe zone" for terrorists?

I think this radical Islamist ideology, or whatever it is, should be confronted and stamped out now, and not allowed to fester and grow.

Why even wait to do something until it's much stronger?

And withdrawing from a conflict invites further challenges. Our enemies could come to exactly the opposite conclusion - that since we are unwilling to sustain even the historically low casualties being suffered to prevail in Iraq, we would NOT be willing to confront the much greater casualties that, say, a nuclear Iran could cause to the US.

Sorry, I don't get it.

No, but I expect if we leave Iraq, many terrorists will train there and kill Americans around the world.

Al Qaeda used to train in Afghanistan...well Iraq is Disney Land for terrorist training to Afghanistan's travelling merry-go-round on the back of a truck.

You think this war keeps Americans safe? Then how have more Americans died in Iraq than in all previous Islamic terrorist attacks on Americans combined?

Why do they need the military to leave Iraq before coming here?

It seems they would have come already while our military was out in the Middle East.

Agreed. Wasn't the purpose of the Eisenhower highway system precisely that, to provide long stretches of roadway in order to move military personnel and equipment efficiently. We all ready have defense strategies built into our system. I live in NY and have many military bases within 50-100 miles of my apt.

Who is converting who, could this be the problem? Religion will win over common sense, the entire teaching of sacrifice proves nothing is sacred but death. Leave'm the hell alone and come home!
