I passed the written test at the DMV then they said i had to go get fingerprinted to pass a clearence to receive my haz- mat endorsement how long till i get cleared, and do i have to wait for that to haul haz- mat,or can i begin work since i passed the written test?

written is one phase==without back ground check u have nothing til cleared==so haul away just not hazmat unless u have a thick wallet as fines are heafty==jail also== as for how long til cleared we all know how the goverment works==good luck

Haz mat is tough now a days thanks to the nut cases out there. Yes you must take and complete the test and fingerprint requriments prior to hauling haz mat. You can however drive and haul any cargo not considered haz mat. The fingerprint can take from 3 days to 3 weeks depending on the amount of people being done at the time.

sir, the changing over of a cdl is actually easy. The state will issue you a CDL-B with Hazmat provided your "X" endorsement is still good and not expired. you may encounter a problem with new laws dealing with backgorund check.

usually they will issue a written slip,but in some states now they just mail it out to you, this doesn't take but a week to ten days usually to get this,my cousin got his in the mail so you should be getting your fairly soon now,he has a paper saying he can drive right now,but this is Tennessee the laws are different in every state on these matters,good luck with it,
