PATIENCE!!! that's what you need the most!
if you're going to breastfeed, then you dont need to really worry about bottles. you definetely need diapers, however. My kids go through a case of diapers apeice every two weeks. (I have 2 still in diapers). I spend about $45 dollars a month on diapers, per baby. If you're going to formula feed, then you need bottles, nipples, and formula. Try to apply for WIC if it's in your area. That pays for the formula.
You'll need baby clothes, shampoo, and a place for baby to sleep. You'll definetely need a baby carseat, and blankets. Toys you don't have to worry about for a newborn.
My kids don't have all the frilly things that they've come out with for babies, that are the "must haves". They have their needs covered.
If you need anymore help, feel free to email me: ladytexasrbl2002@yahoo.com
oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!

Get a doc first. Then you will need diapers more size 2 than 1 or newborn. Babies grow out of those sizes really fast. A crib or somewhere for baby to sleep. A few clothes, not much because most people will get you clothes because they are so cute. If you plan on formula feeding then you will need a few bottles I suggest at least 3 I would say closer to 6 or more. When you don't sleep a lot dishes, including bottles tend to go un cleaned. Wipes, diaper rash cream, baby wash, plus a few other things. You can go to any dept store and they all have a list for new moms. Either in store or on line. Congrats!

I would definitely say diapers are the most important thing to have. Maybe even a diaper pail because sometimes those things a rank. But you could always breast feed so bottles are not that important. But don't worry when I had my baby the hospital gives you everything you are going to need for the first few days at least. From diapers, to bottles, to wipes, nose unplugers, etc. It is pretty cool. If you are having the baby at home then I would definitely say diapers!!!

1. get a doctor and visist when scheduled to.
2. change eating habits and take prenatal vitamins
3. Babies go through more diapers than anything!!!
4. They also vomit/spit up a lot so invest in a lot of bibs/cloth diapers and onsies/footed sleepers
5. buy a starter set for newborns (bottlewise) hopefully you will try to breast feed but if you do not that is ok.
4. you do not need a crib right away but either a basinet or a pack and play that has a basinet in it (better because you can use it longer!)
5. CAR SEAT (most hospitals will not let you leave without proof of one in the car you are being taken home in), stroller, swing, bouncy/vibrating chair.
I'd say those were the essentials I needed. They do provide diapers in the hospital and I stocked up on those!!!!
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need everything the most lol. Diapers, wipes, bottles, formula, etc. Your baby has to eat and will be going to the bathroom in a diaper which must be changed frequently. Don't worry about everything all at once. You can ask your hospital for a check list of the essentials you will need. Good luck to you.

Buy diapers, clothes, and if you are going to formula feed, buy formula ahead of time. You will be glad you have this stuff before you have the baby. Unless you have a big house, you don't need a baby monitor. We got one as a gift and never used it. You do need a car seat. Hospital won't let you take your baby if you don't have one.

Congratulations. First you need to find a good OB. You'll need more diapers than anything. If you aren't planning to breastfeed you'll need formula. Also bottles and a nice sterilizer. Crib, changing tables are a must. Also infant seat carrier, bouncer chair, swing (up to you but helpful) altough they outgrow it fast...clothes....You may wanna start now buying things one by one so that it's not just one big expense.

I'd say if you're not going to breastfeed, you need formula the most. It's expensive too.
Then you need bottles (6-8), diapers (lots of diapers), wipes, clothes, baby bed (crib or bassinet or pack n play)....
Nice luxuries....A Swing!!! I couldn't go without a swing!!
