In my opinion they accomplished what they were sent to do when they took Saddam out of power, isn't that what the original mission was? Then the mission was to have elections, they did that. Now who knows what Bush says their mission is. They should have been out of there a long time ago and 3000+ casualties ago.

Who are we to push democracy on a country that does not seem to want it. We can't force a country to be our friend.

When the troops were deployed to Iraq, there mission was to eliminate the tyranny of saddam and put democracy and order back to a key country in a violent and hate filled middle east where our only friend is Israel..Well saddams gone but the job just isnt over yet. If we were to leave Iraq right now, all of those soldiers who gave their lives would have done it for nothing, because as soon as we pull out, there goes a new dictator dealing with a corrupt islam jihad type governemt who doesnt mind killing its own people....is that better

Bring glorious democracy to the people of Iraq so they will love each other, and thousand-year-old enemies will give each other flowers in the streets, and all the other screwed up countries in the region will immediately see how wonderful democracy is that they overthrow their own dictators and give flowers to each other and kiss the feet of the great Americans who brought them peace and harmony and terrorists throw down their weapons and kiss their feet too and any terrorists who still aren't convinced would tear up their plane tickets to the U.S. and walk out into the street to be shot and America would no longer need a military because the problem was solved forever so the fact that we've plowed so much money and destroyed our international alliances won't matter. We're almost there, just a few more months, I swear!
