yes, I remember. And, I also remember that we were all doing fine without them. Funny how a luxury quickly becomes a necessity? I actually heard some sad news in regards to cell phones and their taking over the world. A friend of mine went to a concert the other night and she was telling me that instead of using a lighter to light the "performer(s)" for a come back, the audience used an opened cell phone. Yack! I had no idea some people do that. Last time I went to one (ok it was two years ago), we were still using the old good lighter trick. Some things do change rapidly.

Yes, I remember life without cellphones. That would be 1996 for me. I was not happier, but that had nothing to do with a cellphone. The only real reason I have a cellphone with me at all times is because I'm a female out on the road a lot and after having cars that break down on me in remote locations, it's safer. I'd be quite happy to ditch the cellphone if I had a gopher to drive me around and make sure I was safe all the time.
do you know any gophers that might be interested in the job?

Yes, I remember life without cellphones, and it is "now". I don't have one, and I control my own life, I'm happier without all the interruptions, and it's peaceful and quiet and I'm able to think better, be more creative, make my own decisions, I don't have to worry about ending up on u-tube, or my travels monitored, I don't have to waste precious time updating and multi-tasking and remembering to input everything, I don't really need to hear the news a dozen times a day, I don't need to communicate that much with friends and relatives, etc. and i'm truly happy and fulfilled without a cellphone, plus I don't have a super expense that would put me into bankruptcy (the cost of a cellphone and minutes). I don't even have long distance on my phone. This is wonderful!!

Yes I do and I also remember when people used to look at each other and say hello when they passed by instead of having a cellphone stuck to their ear. People used to drive when they were on the road in their cars, now they do everything else while driving. Cellphones have some great advantages but I think people have gone overboard with them. I mean, can't some things wait until you get home?

Yes of course, I remember life without the cellphone. But of course we had pagers! I think it's better with cellphones because if something happens and you can't get in touce with a phone you already have one any where you go just hope that you have signal!!!

Have had a cell for at least 10 years how awful huh? People still don't understand that just because my phone is always with me does not mean that it's on or that I will even answer when they call. And no I rarely check my voice mail it says that in my mail message geez Hey do you remember rotary dial phones? With twisty cords?

LOL yeah I do, and up until just a few months ago I seemed to get through most days without needing or wanting one. I haven't had mine very long, but now I can't imagine being without it.

It has it's pros and cons. For me it was better without. Life was simpler and less complicated. Nowadays cellphones allowed people a lot of luxuries they couldn't have done if they hadn't emerged. The cellphone is no longer a phone, it can break up marriages, cause fights and even detonate bombs.

Well, I went through what I like to call a "cellphone stage", couldn't live without it. But then I realized I don't like to always be 'on-call' with everyone. I like being able to escape without being reached now. No more obssesive calls from my significant other wondering when I'll be home, I'll be there when I get there.
