It's long overdue. Some people would like to allow contact off-site (I've gotten some really nice notes from folks re: some of my posts) but the trolls can be about as filthy and unkewl as anyone could imagine (internet bullies are the worst kind of coward)...it didn't seem necessary to have to disallow all offsite contact just to keep a few idiots from messaging you but until now, that was the only option.

I'd suggested such a feature to Y!A in the past. Since you can block email addresses and people on Messenger, no reason it couldn't be done on Y!A as well.

Thanks Y!A for listening to those who asked for it. ☺

Know nothing of it. What's a buttom? Sounds seductive. Must look for it. But it can be difficult enough just to use a keyboard sometimes these days. All this internet jazz has become so sophisticated since I was one of the first Ozzie users many years ago. But wonderful. And less confusing if I avoid new tricks.

I think it is nice that Yahoo!Answers provided the "block user" button. A lot of people asked for this feature.

I probably will not use the feature for some time. I like everyone that are my Fans and Contacts.

I in easy terms block surprisingly suspected report trolls. i could block somebody in the event that they controlled to harass me via persisted e mail to, yet i've got under no circumstances had to. blocking off somebody via fact they're going to call you out is the two cowardly and ineffective. they might nevertheless do it in yet another question, and that they're going to make exciting of you for blocking off them on the comparable time. All you particularly do is supply them textile. besides...it fairly is fairly consumer-friendly to apply yet another account.

Not used it yet. I'll use it if anyone becomes annoying. Seems a good idea given the number people who have stalkers here :-)
