Carpal tunnel will affect the middle two fingers-your ring finger and the one next to it.You may experience burning or the tingly feeling like your hand and arm are "asleep". I have had the surgery for carpal tunnel and it was hard to cope with afterword. I was scheduled for surgery on the other hand as well, but looked for a more natural, non-invasive approach. I tried a good multi-vitamin with a B-complex and drinking lots of water. Also try APS-2 for inflammation. These things helped me avoid surgery and now I'm symptom free. Best of luck!!!By the way, it has been suggested that low levels of B vitamins, which the body does not produce, could be the cause for carpal tunnel syndrome.

It's carpal tunnel actually. Here are common symptoms:
Symptoms usually start gradually, with frequent burning, tingling, or itching numbness in the palm of the hand and the fingers, especially the thumb and the index and middle fingers. Some carpal tunnel sufferers say their fingers feel useless and swollen, even though little or no swelling is apparent. The symptoms often first appear in one or both hands during the night, since many people sleep with flexed wrists. A person with carpal tunnel syndrome may wake up feeling the need to "shake out" the hand or wrist. As symptoms worsen, people might feel tingling during the day. Decreased grip strength may make it difficult to form a fist, grasp small objects, or perform other manual tasks. In chronic and/or untreated cases, the muscles at the base of the thumb may waste away. Some people are unable to tell between hot and cold by touch.
Hope you feel better soon.

Do you have pain at night? Does the pain wake you at night? Do you work with computers all day, everyday more than 6-8 hour/day? Is the pain in the Palmer aspect of you hand? Is the pain burning and do you have tingling and numbness in the thumb index and middle fingers? If the answer to all the above is yes then possibly you do have Carpal tunnel Syndrome (CTS). There are several orthopedic test to be performed. Phalens test, Tinel Sign, NCV(nerve condition velocity testing). In order to to these test you need to seek Medical help either from a Chiropractor or Orthopedic Physician. Good Luck.

I have carpal tunnel and yes, I get that feeling sometimes, but I can't say for sure if that's what you're experiencing.
I imagine it's just muscle stiffness from typing so much. Every few hours you should stretch and swing your arms through your back, to bring your circulation back. If you continue ignoring this signal from your body, it could result in long term damage, humans weren't meant to sit still and type for long periods of time.

Take yourself to a doctor.
Trite, I know, but a doctor should be your first stop. If the doctor advises expensive tests, medicine, etc., try another doctor. If there is a wide disparity in what they are saying, they probably haven't a clue.
Then throw the problem open to the community at large. Otherwise you're going to be getting advice from unqualified people and that may prove to be dangerous.

This is not consisent with Carpel Tunnel. Carpel Tunnel cause pain in the wrist and hand when it is at rest especially at night and it is often a burning tingling type pain but very severe and it interrupts your sleep. See your doc to find out what your problem is.

My mom had it from decorating cakes. Usually the hand and wrists get sore and go numb. They can also get so weak when lifiting the lightests of things that a person can drop anything from it. Your problem sounds more like poor blood circulation, but I'm not a doctor, you should try to see one.

It could be carpal tunnel or it sounds very similar to thoracic outlet syndrom. I would go to a chiropractor and have it checked out.
