Does anyone think that terrorists can use Yahoo Answers to gain information about the US or any country for that matter? No matter how much or how little info they want.

Maybe, but I don't think Yahoo Answers is at fault there because I don't think Yahoo Answers provides much information that can't already be gathered online. Most of the people who answer these questions know what they know because they found it online, if it is at all a technical question. And anyone with a blog account anywhere can post questions to be answered by other users on a subject. Yahoo Answers just kind of organizes / consolidates a process of information gathering. I don't think it provides any more information than is already out there to a person who wishes to seek it.

confident we are conscious that terrorism has been happening for a protracted time, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it has in lots of situations been on an extremely small scale, no longer the international warfare waged with terrorism that we've got. is likewise that this question meant to propose that we could consistently do no longer something approximately it and attempt and shrink it, which seems to be the different objective and physique of ideas of many right here and curiously around the globe; the previous stick your head interior the sand, make have faith it incredibly is no longer there and it will pass away ordinary?, sorry the only element that accomplishes is to embolden the terrorists.

I think they get information whenever and wherever they can. BUT, Yahoo Answers is largely an opinion board and it's right out in the open, so what kind of top secret info can they get?
Of course, they probably get just about all the top secret info they need from the American media!

All information is intelligence.
Example:
when are kids getting out of school in certain areas.
when do the trains run.
what is the price of a Toyota
it may be incidental at the time they learn the info, but as the pieces start to fall into place, it becomes useful.
this venue can be very informative. They can ask something like:
when dose the 101st return from Iraq?
or will the base be open when the 3rd MEU returns? I wanna be there to thank them.
you can see how dangerous this forum can be.

I've wondered that myself, but really don't you think they can
get all they want from CNN? they even project the impact of some prospective terror strikes.
actually that new map program on google should advertise to terrorists that they take all the work out of pre-strike surveillance of a target

I would be a little suspicious about certain kinds of questions. Like how would you blow up JFK airport. But your point is a good one. You could gain much background if not pertinent info from asking the right questions.

I am sure that it is possible, but I would assume a more sophisticated way of obtaining info would be used....

Unless they want to know how they can tell if 'he likes me or not' or 'I love him, but he's with another girl!', they won't find much to use.
