Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Wednesday that the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) had been a great defeat for the United States government. Left-wing populist and bitter US-critic Chavez said the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was upset at finding no support for her proposal to send an OAS commission to investigate claims that Venezuelan authorities violated press freedom.

Condosleeza and the Bush administration have succeeded in alienating the entire world to the concept of the United States as a "world leader" in their minds, we are thugs, hitmen for the elite ultra-rich. her protests fall on deaf ears.
