Because their earliest ancestors lived closer to the equator. Darker skin allows one to withstand more sun exposure. That also explains why lots of very fair people still can be found very far north. Of course, now, there has been so much movement across the continents that this distinction has lessened.

Short awnser:Genes
extra detail: Well i dont know much but the main question is where did it all started maybe as white but people started to migrate then our bodies got a little darker so a newborn would be born darker as a part of evolution . Why is there so many eye colors maybe some are more sensitive to light or better to see in dark or day so the once that migrated away have different eye color stuff like that u know our body becomes very adaptive which leads to evolutions

i'm assuming you feel better about asking this question online rather than in public at a school, library, etc. and probably wouldnt know where to start by looking in a science book or dictionary, so i'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt since you genuinely seem to be interested in an educated answer...i hope.
its called pigmentation which creates the color from the deposition of melanin cells. black people just have more than white people and obviously its genetic so we continue to have different races of color.

Well, black people are not literally BLACK, but brown. This is due to melanin in the skin. I'm no doctor or scientist, but I know melanin helps protect against the sun. For example, I have light friends who burn much faster that I when we're outside. Perhaps, and I am just speculating, because humans originated in Africa (or so it seems) people there needed more protection from the sun, and the further they migrated the lighter their skin got--over thousands of years, of course.

Check the of genealogy Noah out in the Bible. He had three sons and they were the basis for all mankind. Technically, as far as skin color goes, the only truely black people can only be found in India, Australia, Brazil & various parts of Africa, etc. More than likely, you'll find a variety of colors of beautiful complexions from light to dark in all "black" people.

Why don't you think about what you said? Sounds like a racism comment. Just be happy for what color you are, in the Native Sioux language, we say Mitutake Oyasin which means, we are all related. We all come from the same earth, and we will go back to the same earth when we pass away. Remember, the earth does not belong to us, we belong to the earth. (Chief Seattle)

Usually skin color has to do with climate. Darker races evolved in places with more sunlight, so their skin developed more pigment to protect them from the sun. Lighter races developed in areas that had less direct sunlight , such as European areas with more cloud cover. Slight differnces in features (nose size, eye size, type of hair) also developed because of climate and genetics.

It's because of evolution and the area of the world they originated from and the melanin content in their skin. It was a protection from the elements. In hot sunny places people's skin became darker to keep them from getting sunburned as easily. In contrast, very white people lived in areas where they were covered in clothing and/or the sky was overcast and it was cold.
This, of course, happened over thousands of years.
Hope that helps.

It has to do with evolution. Black people came from Africa which is very hot and sunny. Black skin absorbs the sun better. Black people also tend to be leaner, which also helps in hot enviornments.
Take eskimos for example and the way they are built. They are pale skinned and chubbier. This is ideal for the cold arctic enviorments.
