Hello,
I worked as a waitress for Pizza Hut and I can tell you - you haven't missed out on that much - it had its great moments - but you work hard for rubbish pay - as they expect you will get tips! Not always so easy to get - however nice you are to guests...
I must tell you all though - please NEVER be rude to your waitress - your food will be punished!!

Let's say you could afford to work 20 hr./week at Pizza Hut: four hours every weekday night, or both days on the weekend. Let's also say you earned $15/hr in wages and tips, which is a very liberal estimate because business is light and tips are poor at Pizza Hut. In that case you would earn $300/week and could *maybe* pay off this loan by the end of the semester. That doesn't cover your room and board, of course - unless they let you sleep in the back and eat the stale breadsticks. Of course, college deserves your full attention and it will be difficult to excel if you're working two jobs. Do you really need to pay this loan off right away? Your college should be able to help you apply for student loans, which don't accrue interest until after you graduate. (By then you'll be working full time in a job that pays well...hopefully.)

I want to work in a nice quiet bookshop (I'm a college student and need a part time job), but there don't seem to be many around, I imagine all you'd do all day is drink tea and read! Heaven!
Or I wouldn't mind working at like a dog rehoming centre and walking them, I like dogs and I'd get plenty of exercise walking all day. Unfortunately they mostly want volunteers and right now I need money!

I wanted to be an astronaut.
Then I grew up a bit, and I started drawing and drawing, and I was really good at it, but then then I thought I should do something about my education, and I went to uni, and got a degree in Anthropology. That was a mistake in a way (I'm happy I did it, because it made me a person I am now, but ... ) .. I want to go back to drawing. I want to be a children-books illustrator ... and I think I will be ... just watch me!

Surely its not too late - there are plenty of Pizza Huts around!
I always wanted to pull a pint as a kid and eventually did do a bit of bar work while at uni - it was awful!

I've often fancied becoming a checkout operator in Sainsbury's ... I guess I just like handling pasta. And it would be fun to make judgements about customers on the basis of what they had in their trollies and ... who knows ... perhaps trade ironic sniggers about them with my colleagues during the tea break.

I've always fancied working behind a bar - not long term or anything, just to see what it was like to pull a pint!
I always wanted to be a librarian and now I am I couldn't be happier!!!
