What is the best anti-virus program on the planet (free or paid it doesn't matter)?

Yes Ubuntu, and Linux and all other small operating systems do not have viruses because no one cares about them its not worth the time and effort to make a virus that will affect 2 people on the planet. Besides they have very limited support, you can't really play games it pretty much seems to allow you to only browse the internet. Go Microsoft! Yes they have major problems but at least I can get drivers and have instant support.

has some statiscs from a large base of users that makes the vote for best antivirus software more reliable. Most antivirus software uses file defintion base to recognize a virus while scanning, McAfee have tried to use a combination of definition base and trend/pattern techniques to recognize a virus while scanning, so it maybe best.

the only way to increase the good rate of a program is how well or good you know how to use it there is no point of havin the best anti virus if its slowing your computer but u dont know how to use it> You need to know how to Update scan safe mode scan and more advance settings also a anti virus alone is not enouigh. I dont like mcafee they slow down your computer its like having a virus (mcafee is a virus lol) i dont like nortorn they dont detect most of them and AVG is too rough on the system. But there are plenty out there i use AVAST

Norton AntiVirus is probably the most complete anti-virus software solution. It is paid software. It is reccommended by Google and a "sort of" free version is offered with their Google Pack software. I highly reccommend Norton Internet Security 2007 for complete computer and internet protection.
