Glad you know what it is as many people are totally ignorant of it and what causes it and therefore do not know how to avoid it until its too late and they are comtemplating suicide.

Tinnitus is a ringing sound in the ears.
You get it after you've listened to loud music, or through growing old.

Yes. It's a constant ringing in your ears caused by exposure to loud noises. Some people have it their whole lives. There is no 'cure' but staying away from loud noises and caffeine make the ringing not as loud

Tinnitus can be perceived in one or both ears or in the head. It is usually described as a ringing noise, but in some patients it takes the form of a high pitched whining, buzzing, hissing, humming, or whistling sound, or as ticking, clicking, roaring, "crickets" or "locusts", tunes, songs, or beeping.[3] It has also been described as a "whooshing" sound, as of wind or waves.[4]
