My dad used to have a record
it was something about a dog named Nasty
and I think it may have been called big dog little man

Any way, his wife was fat, picked up a two by four
swung and missed
and she hit the floor

something like that

and they say "cause he's a big dog
then they say
"cause he's a little man

I was little, so words are FOGGY
sounds like a Jerry Reed song or something

The Lil Man - by by Robert Z. (`Lil Bob) Gray

Me and Blanche and a dog named Nasty
Headed for Houston from up in Nebraski
Gettin kind of cool for a man like me
I don't mind fightin the sleet & the snow
But when it gets down to forty below
That's a little too cool for me
Cause I'm a `lil man.

We's travelin thru a town called Lubbock, Texas
And stopped at a bar called the Opposite Sexes
Drivin all day, I's ready for a little nip
After seven flats and a broken transmission
I's just about ready for a little intermission
That's a little too much for me
Cause I'm a `lil man.

We's sittin at a table about half soused
When the biggest man in the whole darn house
Poured a glass of beer down the back of Blanch's dress.
But accident's happen - so I let him alone
But he done it again and the fight was on
Everybody like to pick on me
Cause I'm a `lil man.

I hit him in the belly and I hit him in the chin
And he just stood there and looked at me and grinned
And I knew I had me a wild cat by the tail.
But my sweet girl Blanch weighs 300 pounds
And when she hit him, he hit the ground
You never wanna underestimate
A fat broad.

He come up swingin like I figgered he would
And knocked poor Blanch just as far as he could
Across the table and into the outhouse room.
But I caught him in the teeth with a bottle of beer
And I seen his eyes begin to steer
You never wanna underestimate
A `lil man.

He was hittin my head against the floor
And I just knew he'd kill me for sure
So I called on sweet ol Blanch to get ol Nasty
Ol Nasty grabbed him by the seat of the pants
And I seen me a mean man doin a dance
Ol Nasty takes up for me
He's a big dog.

He come up screaming and run for the door
And sweet Blanch caught him with a two by four
Left a wood grain impression on his forehead
He fell like a tree - Blanch screamed "Whoopee!"
All the people clapped for
The `lil man.

Well that's the way its been since time began
Big folk pickin on a little man
They're afraid to pick on someone their own size.
Well, that's okay, but before you hit him
You better look around to see who's with him
Better take a little tip from me.
Cause I'm a `lil man
