It's completely unfair, of course. She's obviously being given special treatment because of her wealth or her so-called "celebrity status", or both. She's learned her lesson alright... the lesson being that she can screw up big time and manage to wriggle out of facing the consequences. Not only did the authorities teach her the "wrong lesson." They also managed to send the wrong message to other people of her "class." So, now, who of them will take the law seriously, knowing that there are loopholes and double standards???
Major injustice to the rest of us.

It's a shining example of the color bias of the American justice system. The color in question of course being green.
If that was any of us we would have done the full 45 days in general population and if we had gotten sick ,well county hospitals do have prison wards.
Because she thinks she's above the law , this early release will make her feel empowered and so she will screw up again and when she does then she's going down big time -

Frankly she has been able to wriggle her way out of everything which is probably more of a reflection and embarassment of the justice system. I say if she can't serve the time in jail, instead of a sentence of house arrest, it should have been that she give up her driving priveleges FOREVER! See how fast she would stay in that jail cell then!

Apparently Paris Hilton as well as other rich people and celebrities have one set of laws to follow and people like us have to obey the law and not by pass it. Celebrities can do whatever they want no matter what. They are considered special and they get special treatment. We are so beneath them. This is a truly messed up world we live it.

It's a joke! Gourmet meal, pedicures, manicures, butlers, maids, stylists, lounging around the pool all day in a large mansion-a good punishment! NOT! A joke! She bought herself out of jail. Not fair at all!

If this was me and i was sent to jail - they would of given me 6 months and i would have to stay. I'm tired of hearing of her lame excuses. So what that she was bored. Thats what jail is all about - to realize that DUI and driving on a suspended licesense is dangerous and illegal.

it's bull... Whats her medical reason? withdrawl? Anyways, it's very unfair to the other inmates who don't have millions to get their laweyer to claim medical.. and have to serive their sentence in a cell... she'll learn her lesson one day, though.

I've been jailed before, one day feels like a lifetime. I'm sure she's learned her lesson. If not, she'll REALLY get it next time!
