I suspect that my laptop has a worm. I don't know how I got it and I don't know the name of the worm. It removed files from my antivirus, so I had to unistall it in order to reinstall it, but my laptop doesn't let me. It also removed files from Spybot Search & Destroy, and I didn't delete any files and the same thing happened with Avast. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Reboot again in safe mode with network.
Start -> Run: type iexplore http://www.ewido.com/en (Enter/OK)
Scan your computer.
If you fin something; delete it. Restart and do the same again. When the scanner find nothing this scan is finish.

NOTE: Do not surf the net or open any programs when doing this scans. This because you can start spyware/adware/viruses manually.

Now your computer are clean and you can reboot back to normal mode.

Now you need to download some security.

Download the new free version of Ad Aware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_a...
and Spybot-S&D http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index...

Download a free antivirus program like AVG, Avast or BitDefender.
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1
http://www.avast.com/
http://www.bitdefender.com/product-14-en...

Also have a firewall. ZoneAlarm has a free one http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/c...

*NOTE: Only have one antivirus program and one firewall installed on your computer. Anti-adware/spyware are ok to have more of.

Nod32 works. i've got not tried Kaspersky, F-preserve, or any AV application in a whilst however. sidestep Norton and Mcafee. they only perpetuate the themes. next time, create a image of your problematic force while it incredibly is sparkling and virus-loose. Then each time problems get up, in simple terms positioned that image returned on. much less complicated than removing viruses and trojans.
