Do you Know there are people in jail for 2 years for stealing food?, during while Pete Doherty had been 7 times arrested for Burglary and Possession of 3 drugs class A at the same time and now this with Paris Hilton.
The issue here is that they don't walk out cause they are famous, they walk out cause they are rich, the issue is that we know this cause we follow the cases but this, sadly, unfortunately and repugnantly happens every day.
The rich people sell, consume drugs, steal big money and even kill walking out free while the jail is full of poor people whose made "a mistake" and will pay for life in many ways.
In the Hospital, in the court, in the police, in the street and in your job more than never ever, materialism, classicism, racism and abuse are in rampage. And we pay heavy, heavy, heavy taxes to sustain such monstrosity of system.
And they call it: Democracy.

Money and celebrity can buy you out of anything. Now instead of idolizing her maybe the normal people of this world can see her for what she is and realize they can never be like her. I am curious how someone to sick to sit in a jail cell for 20 days could have been so active with all the partying, drinking and drugging she has done for years. Hopefully from now on she will be booed and shunned from public and maybe she will be under house arrest permanently.

Meanwhile plenty of average joes are sitting in jail for the same offense, loosing their jobs because they cant work... leading them to loosing their homes.... yet Paris... will always have a room for the night. Disgusting. Our sociaty needs to stop helping the spoiled get away with crimes... and thoes that they pay off to get out early should also serve time. She is a disgrace to the entire human race.

She was exhibiting sings of depression by not sleeping and eating. If it was the rest of us we would be put on suicide watch. A day on the inside must be worth a day and a half on the outside for she only has to serve 40 more days in "time out" instead of 42 days. I wonder if her mommy will make her clean her room? I some how doubt it.

It's as simple as this: Our criminal "justice" system sucks, and is a total joke. For a free pass, all one has to do is be rich, famous, white... and powerful, politically, helps too.
WATCH now, as someday very soon, GW Bush is almost certain to once AGAIN make a total @ss of himself, by pardoning that worthless felon, Scooter Libby. And when that happens, the American people should DEMAND Congress to completely overhaul and renovate the Justice Department and system, from top to bottom. And at the came time, condemn Bush.

Thank God all you folks have no experience in the "System". The average Parole Violator in Ca. has to Violate 3 times to be sents back to Jail. She got no special treatment.
The standard for her 2 misdemeanor crimes using no laywer in Ca. would be a $1500 fine for the Reckless Driving and $1100 for the Driving on a Suspended Probation Vioplation.
You or I would have served 0 time in Ca. for the same thing. Paid our fines and gone to DUI School.

this has happened, i can't believe that. that is just not on. if it were medical reasons she should have been put in the hospital wing.
but you right about the money thing. its like the case of the millionaire tycoon Alberto Izaga who punched his 2 year old daughter and who died yesterday, he has been sectioned under the mental health act instead of being arrested and put on remand. its a sure fire way of getting out of something!!

Soooooooo like our law system these days. Celebrities really are above the law. I wasn't aware that if you were sick you got to come home. I bet there are thousands of people in jail and prison that wish they had of known that. Oh wait it doesn't matter unless your rich and famous. My mistake

yep the reptile is VILE. dirty little slutty freak who hasn't done anything for the world apart from use the oxygen. and before all the paris(god what is that name supposed to be???) freaks start back at me please understand that having seen the aftermath of a pissed up driver running into innocent people, and killing 2 of them. i KNOW the hound should have been locked away and left with the 'normal' girls. then it would have learned its lesson.
