why do u not get all ticklish when u tickle yourself..but when sum1 else tickles u... it actually tickles?

I don't have a good answer but I do know I am grateful that I can't because I HATE TO BE TICKLED!!

You can't tickle yourself because the element of surprise isn't there and you know you have control. It is when you don't have control that makes the person more sensitive to tickling.

You do not surprise yourself if you tickle your body because you know it's coming. If someone tickles you, it's sort of a surprise to your body. If that person say, "I'm going to tickle you!", you know n your mind they're going to tickle you, but it's sort of like your body's not prepared.
