should try to empathize with others a little more. I'm not even a fan of Paris Hilton, and I think it's cruel how people start rumors already, that someone was paid off in order to get her out of jail. Not one person on here or any where else, besides Paris, the jail staff and her family know what the medical reason was that made the law decide to reassign her to home arrest to finish her sentence. She could have had home arrest from the beginning, alot of people do, regular non-celebrity, non-rich people get home arrest instead of incarceration. Why don't people lay off the rumors? How would they like it if it was them who was known worldwide and every move was publicly criticised. Papparazi and tabloids never give them a moments privacy and people on websites and every where else make up rumors about them constantly. Did anyone ever make up something about them? Imagine for one second what it must be like for millions of people to be lying about you.

I'm not being naive, I have felt empathy for many celebrities, their lives will never be "normal". 5 minutes after being released people on here were flipping out about her money got her out, and no one had any idea yet why she was out.

90% of these answers assume that I think she should not have to pay for her crime. I said nor believe no such thing. My question relates to people making up lies and rumors and spreading them around. That's all. Very few of you were intelligent enough to understand my very simply stated point. I too have issues with whether or not her medical condition was legitimate and whether or not her punishment was just. But this question does not pertain to any of those opinions, only to ignorant people who spread lies about a person and her situation that they no nothing about.

Wow. You're an incredibly sensitive person. In answer to your question, you may well be one of the only ones. I personally don't think people who assume this are horrible.
However, your statement takes balls, and I'm impressed at how gutsy you're being. Compassionate people are seriously lacking in this world, as I'm sure making this statement will show you. You're lucky to be one of the few people who cares about others, despite what the overall majority thinks and has the guts to say it too.
Stand by your guns. :) The world needs more people like you.

Ok where to begin....

First of all, assumptions are never a good thing, however given Paris' track record, background, etc...it comes a little easier.

Second, if she did have a "medical" reason for leaving, shouldn't it have been made known as a matter of public record?

Third, to anyone to says the public, the paparrazi, or the tabloids should "lay off" of Paris and all of her friends...Maybe we should consider the fact that while she had millions of dollars in the bank, and not a care in the world, she put herself in numerous situations where it was obvious she was trying to become another hollywood starlett. There are plenty of rich 20-somethings in the world, and many of them know how to handle themselves like respectable adults. If Paris can't get it through her skull that her actions, attitude, and appearance are the reason for her being in the public eye, then she deserves every bit of it.

I have no, and will show no empathy for anyone who consciously makes bad descisions and then doesn't expect to face the consequences.

The fact of the matter is, if Paris Hilton had been a decent human being who cared about anyone other than herself, then the media, the public, and everyone in between wouldn't
mind seeing her make a few bad choices. Instead, she chose to put herself into the spotlight, make herself a public figure, act like a spoiled child, and generally turn the population.

She deserves everything coming to her and more.

I can't believe I'm wasting time even explaining this skank.

She was in an orange jumpsuit, the full report is on news stations, not just cruddy sources like "people magazine" etc. It wasn't home arrest. She did the crime, she needs to put in the time. She was sentenced to 23 days. Regardless of her "medical" reason....if she wasn't "Paris Hilton" she would have had to suck it up and deal with it like the other people in jail. But lets all pity her, because she is just so over exposed, all the attention is really hard, and it's OK for her to only serve 3 days of her sentence. We all really do need to lay off her huh? Life's tough when you're a celebrity and you don't know better than to not drive with a suspended license. If she's dumb enough...or better yet drunk enough, to make the mistakes, then she doesn't deserve special treatment. That poor girl.

Ok, so it's not right that she got out of jail early, she should have served her sentence to the end, no if ands or buts. And I do agree that people are starved for stuff like this, that they create the rumors to add excitement to their "mundane lives" (to quote Paris). But SHE is the celebrity and SHE knows that with her grandfathers money and any other contract/job/event that she does that the paparazzi are going to be right there to capture the good, the bad, and the ugly. She could turn into Oprah and build a $40 million dollar school for girls in upper Mongolia and still be remembered for her sex tape or for being drunk at some club and fighting with Firebush. Doesn't matter how much good she does she's still gonna have a few tons of garbage to follow her around. And as for the LA county judicial system, they're full of **** for allowing people with money to get off easy. When was the last time someone of Paris's "status" served their full sentence after they became a celebrity. Tim Allen did jail time, it was before he was a celeb and he learned his lesson and turned his life around, I commend him for that, but when it comes to Paris, or any other young Hollywood celeb for that matter, they'll just get out because they have money, b/c they gave the warden a bj, or b/c they cut a check for $100K. So, after saying all this and reiderating it again and again Paris should have bucked up and taken it like any other human being in the same situation. Grow up, really try to learn about "real" life, which your tv show with Richie didn't do, and be a person, not a name.

The problem is that it seems that celebrities and those with money seem to get away with things that any other joe schmo would have been in jail for already (like Paris in this case). What "medical" condition warrants her getting out of jail when there are people sitting in jail with life threatening illnesses from Cancer to AIDS to everything else. These people aren't released, but they are given proper treatment or moved to a more hospitable jail. Even those with mental illnesses are housed in the correctional system. Why should she be any different? The only logical answer is that she paid her way out of it and she should be ashamed of herself.

**till now I start up arguing enable it incredibly is known I hate Paris Hilton and each little thing she stands for yet . . . . ** on the comparable time she's in common terms being put in penitentiary and not some laid-returned excuse of a penitentiary is to set an occasion as everybody's conscious she's a function type to maximum of. The choose replaced into fairly harsh on that one. yet she did comprehend what she replaced into doing, no individual who has a drivers licience ought to mistake that they have been suspended for utilising for decrease than a million month fairly of three, you would be counting down the days after the 1st week for God's sake! you're precise celebrities extra often than no longer ought to quit getting away with issues in simple terms simply by fact of who they're, yet think of roughly it, if she replaced into put in for longer we would experience for the injustice she gained. ought to you reside in a worldwide the place we felt sorry for Paris Hilton, i could no longer !

True, but there's alot of regular people who do time and
it seems most of these celebrities get off easy. It gets
to me sometimes. Also, this gal has alot of money
and what does she do with her life?? It seems she
just blows her life anyway instead of doing something
good. Pretty pitiful actually. I do like some celebrities
but I don't care for Paris as she isn't doing anything
good with her life. She needs to grow up.

The thing with Paris is that you don't have to make anything up. She provides all the information anyone ever needs to gain an understanding of how she manipulates the world around her.

The problem with Paris is people realize even though she is a dim witted celebrity, she is receiving special treatment. It is also an indictment of our legal system knowing that rich people receive a completely different experience than normal folk.

I am not a fan of paris either but.... My question would be is, what kind of medical condition could she have that she could get out of prison but yet able to stay at home and not have to go to the hospital? If I had to guess, she may be Claustrophobic in which case I could understand. i have that too, and I would literally start freaking out.
