http://uk.news.yahoo.com/itn/20070607/ten-paris-released-from-jail-early-ea4616c.html

Just to clarify - She was convicted of drunk driving, had her jail term halved, went to jail and has now been sent to spend the rest of her jail time at home (and remember HOME is a massive mansion, surrounded by maids, butlers, big wide screen tv, big bath, tennis courts, swimming pool, gym etc etc)

Money talks and it seems to be saying "F**K you all - I'm a rich B***H and I can do what I like, even if it means breaking the law !!!!!!!!!! "

I give this a big WHATEVER!

Give me a fricken break. Quite honestly, I guess I'm not surprised. Money can buy you just about everything here. And don't forget, Paris is an accomplished "actress" (gag), I'm sure that helped her along in the portrayal of her "sickness." (It was probably claustrophobia or something).

Perhaps she should be nominated for an Oscar this year?

At least Martha did her time in an honorable manner--and she didn't even run the risk of killing anyone with her transgression. Go figure!

This is disgraceful! This silly, stupid, uneducated clothes hanger has got away with it - but how many people believed that she would do the time ? Still we can rest assured that she is now going to look at being responsible for her own actions! She should never have been sent to jail in the first place - she should have been sectioned for not having a brain !

no its no longer honest in any respect. Its simply by fact she is known and he or she is selection wealthy. This in simple terms shows those that in case you have a great form of money and are properly-known then you definately can harm out with something! enable some non properly-known individual force inebriated the 1st time and you spot what happends! it additionally shows the dumb young babies and adults who look as much as her to start utilising inebriated! This incredibly makes me sick to death! im no longer a hater in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it scares me simply by fact human beings like her are gonna pass out and drink and force and finally hit and kill somebody! ANd what do you think of she found out from all of this... no longer something. next week she'll be doing the comparable element and provide the 0.5 *** excuse she did the final time and he or she'll kill somebody and that i wager she'll harm out with that too simply by fact she is paris hilton! they could of locked her up and thrown away the biggest! she in common terms spent a million night in there!

She was let out because of her anorexia, because she didn't eat the food they gave her and they didn't know how to deal with it and didn't want to be held responsible for her physical deterioration.

Fine.

So send her to a prison psychiatric center. There are plenty throughout the country, where criminals with psychiatric disorders are send to serve their time and also get treatment.

By sending her home to get treatment from her regular doctors while surrounded by luxury is a miscarriage of justice.

It sends a very powerful message to the regular people of America:

"YOU ARE PEONS AND WE ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE SAME LAWS THAT WE SUBJECT YOU TO."

It's utterly disgusting and further proof that America has become a society of the elites ruling over the plebes.

Not good.

My state of Massachusetts has the second highest rate of wrongful incarceration in America. There are people here who have done 20 and 30 years in prison for no crime commited, yet Paris Hilton is allowed to go home for a crime she did commit. We need: http://www.jail4judges.org

Yup, we are all feeling let down by our judicial system.
Every jail & prison in the country has a medical staff or precedures to get medical attention. She could have been treated while she served out her time.

On the "up" side though, I can't see her confining herself to her palacial home for 40 days. She'll be doing time sooner or later. Or unfortunately, be the next "accidental overdose."

I wish her no ill will, but she has done this to herself.

A lot of answers are making her out to be stupid but to me she's not that daft!
As for the law well it IS the good old US of A. Remember OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson etc.

No kidding--most people would have to cough up a lung before they'd even be considered for release, and they let her out because she was crying and didn't eat everything they gave her. That's not being sick--that's having a temper tantrum.

Three days!! If one of us NORMAL people got "ill" we would still have to finish your sentence! I just saw a question about how it is mean to spread rumors about Paris paying her way out of jail, but ,to me, it sounds like she did.
