YOUR PERCEIVED VIEW OF PAKISTAN IS VERY WRONG.
In fact in all city schools, English is the taught; in fact in some schools you're 'scolded' for speaking anything but English (though they use and 'American' style English). There are a lot of westerners in Pakistan now, especially in Islamabad. Maybe you should watch 'George ka Pakistan' on you tube. Racism doesn't really exist in Pakistan, mainly due to the reasons that Pakistanis are white, brown and black. In the North you can get blue eyed blond people, then Punjab brown and Kashmir you can get fair people. Though nowadays they have all mixed into different areas.
The case of the skirt, how many women do you see in England wearing shorts? Do you mean a skirt? Western clothes are widely worn in cities like Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad.
Take a look, do the pics show you the Pakistan you envisaged?

Well it seems to me that the British Government is racist.
As Britons we are told every day what we can and can't do. We are forcd to put up with other cultures, by ordr of the Government, but what other Governments inflict these kind of regulations on their people?
As said above, i quote "could i move to pakistan .demand they teach english in schools, accept my wife likes wearing shorts, insist i get a job, house ,health service.appear on tv shows and if anybody dislikes me .pull the race card?"
How would we as Britons get on if we chose this route?
not very well i think.

Just ignore the comments.Actually in a true democracy a person has a right to have racist views if they so choose so long as they do not do anything to harm anyone.I am not racist but if the fellow who lives next door is if he doesn't bother me it is his business. As for political correctness well it is the enemy of democracy.Although I did have the pleasure of telling people ringing from the call centres on the sub-continent that it wasn't politically correct to ring an Australian at 6.00p.m. right in the middle of my evening meal.

There are no racist countries. That is a generalization. There are only racist people. Simply put: do you, as an individual, think that your race is better than any other races? If so, then you are a racist. If not, then you are not, but you live in a world full of racism. That is why the race card gets pulled so often.

You aren't very familiar with Pakistan are you ?
read on :
"The Constitution provides for freedom of religion and states that adequate provisions are to be made for minorities to profess and practice their religions freely; however, in practice the Government imposes limits on freedom of religion. The country is an Islamic republic; Islam is the state religion. Islam also is a core element of the national ideology; the country was created to be a homeland for Muslims, although its founders did not envisage it as an Islamic state. Religious freedom is "subject to law, public order, and morality;" accordingly, actions or speech deemed derogatory to Islam or to its Prophet are not protected. In addition the Constitution requires that laws be consistent with Islam and imposes some elements of Koranic law on both Muslims and religious minorities. "
Freedom of speech is provided for; however, this right is subject to "reasonable restrictions" that can be imposed "in the interest of the glory of Islam." Actions or speech deemed derogatory to Islam or to its prophets are punishable by death.
Everything is PROVIDED FOR AS LONG AS THEY AGREE with what you're saying.
And listen to this :
The Constitution protects religious minorities from being taxed to support the majority religion; no one can be forced to pay taxes for the support of any religion other than his own. For example, Sunni Muslims are subject to the "zakat," an annual religious tax of 2.5 percent of their income; however, Shi'a Muslims and other religious minorities do not pay the "zakat."
and with all you're "demands" I dout you'll have a respectable time in Pakistan. In any case good luck.
