Dear Soap Addict,
I am sorry that your highly toned soapwatching intellect does not allow you to enjoy or understand the irony of such questions. May i suggest that as you clearly have no intention of smiling today that you refrain from answering my questions and go and answer ones about Eastenders or something,
Yours sincerely
Sharky

Dr. Dolores here at your service. The answer is simple. This phenomenon only occurs when crossing a time zone. Thus, when one is departing, say, Sydney Australia by air on Monday to arrive in London (9 hours difference), but dies on departure, one is arriving on SUNDAY still alive ... although it appears to be the next morning. Are you following this so far? Good! Now here's the problem that makes this phenomenon so rare - the flight would have to take less than the 9 hours time difference and, so far, it has never been achieved. So don't have nightmares, do sleep well.

My hobby is metaphysics. The present theory is that there is no set time in which a mortal is changed back into the soul. We know that on the average the energy of the soul is approximately 20 grams. PEOPLE WHO HAVE DIED DESCRIBE THE "WHITE LIGHT" as the next stage. Because many of them come back into mortal living, we can assume that it is a transitional phase. Thus when you are sleeping and die your soul immediately becomes aware of the change.

Umm I don’t think so.. I think as soon as a person dies they experience a outta body experience where they can see the world but the world cant see them and I think that happens right away and the form of your spirit changes!! From a human being to a different thingy or that’s what I believe.. ..as soon as we die we’re not who we are rightnow !! **** that’s scary..... I don’t ever not wanna be me!!!!!!!

I'm not a doctor, I'm a porcupine, but I'll try to answer your question. I believe that in such a situation you wake up dead.

a person does not die until bthe brain is dead...technically when one's sleeping the brain is still doing a function...dreaming..and perhaps signaling the lungs to keep breathing...when the person wakes up the brain dies because the rest of the body had already stopped

I'd say he doesn't know about it until he *doesn't* wake up the next morning. LOL!
But seriously, since no one knows what happens after we die, nobody knows when the person realizes he's dead. Logically, one would think that you'd know as soon as it happens. Otherwise, where are you?

You read about out of body experiences near death. That would be weird hovering there, thinking 'come on, wake up you lazy sod! This is a weird dream..'

Not having had that happen to me or someone informing me of information that might help, I'd have to say until further research can be carried out : UNLIKELY.

Well, as my mother in law says to me. "You're dead already. You just don't know enough to lay down".
At least if you're sleeping your laying down. So you're ahead of the game.
