No, I'm not for generational welfare or for unlimited social programs. But the question is how do we tell the difference between those that need such assistance and those that don't ? The amount of money we would need to spend investigating those people to make sure their not abusing the system will cost even more than if we simply gave them the money ! There in lies the problem.
Furthermore, since the money is there for the taking, there will always be people that will take advantage of the system no matter how much you try to teach them otherwise. The welfare system is a real problem. You don't want to deny people money that they truly need, but on the other hand there are people that can work that act like they can't.

Yes your right God does help those who help themselves BUT did you ever stop to think there is just a little more to it then that.Such as I have a friend who walks 7 miles round trip to work. She earns 6.15 an hour. She works 30 hours a week because they wont hire full time employees because they don't want to pay benefits. She earns 185 a week! By the time she pays the babysitter and buys food, guess what she has no money for anything else! That's electric, water, clothes, shoes, MEDICAL INSURANCE what have you! Now, she gets a little bit of help from the state. But Ill be damned if I am going to let someone make her feel bad because she cant barely make it. The fact her baby's father got her pregnant and left her for a eighteen year old child! The fact he hasn't paid 25 cent in child support. So if we are going to talk issues, please lets talk about them all!!!!! So if she needs help from the government until her son grows from seven months to eighteen years then so be it. That's my opinion. That's coming from a 31 year old who also grew up poor. So yes, I have strong opinions about things!I don't mean to be mean and I hope you don't take that it that way.But it truly makes my blood boil when I feel all people think welfare recipients are non worthy of help. God also tells us JUDGE NOT OR LEST BE JUDGED!

Why not throw money at them?
Money is merely an invention of the government anyway.
What about able bodied bond holders who do absolutely nothing but collect dividends? They are not working, not producing a thing. Should they be inflating our money by receiving dollars without producing a thing?
Consider that inflation puts everyone in a higher tax bracket, and makes more poor, and puts more people on welfare.

I have always said that as long as the government is giving away free money, there will ALWAYS be people with their hands out to take it. This country got along just fine 100 years ago when we were the richest, most powerful country on earth. We had no national debt, no social security, no medicare, no welfare, no unemployment compensation, no national health coverage, the largest middle class of any nation in the world, we weren't world police, and we didn't have a fraction of the taxes we have today. What the hale happened?

the respond is in all probability no longer due away with them, yet how some thorough study of who precisely is getting what. I recommend DNA pattern verification. i actually have confidence, that with the overall performance we've considered from the paperwork in Washington DC in the process the final say 10 years, that it fairly is time for a significant downsizing and precise on the heels of that attempt, the prospect that in case you do no longer do your friggin job in a extra appropriate, speedier and extra effecient way, you're next infant. I actual have been around those issues in man or woman, government contracting is enourmous and staggeringly ineffecient. in the event that they might't purchase an off the shelf widget effeciently purely think of what is going on everywhere in this mass of protoplasm. some fairly easy examples and then we pass on. The credit disaster. Intellegence failure in Iraq. Intellegence failure in Iran. Katrina. Earmarks. particular regulations in easy terms for the lawmakers in DC. Social secure practices. i could pass on for an extremely long term. I had an undocumented laborer interior the vehicle and he says all the human beings interior the initiatives etc are pushed exceedingly marvelous rides. i understand section 8 housing is a entire boondoggle. deliver at the same time nutrients Stamps with a undesirable back excuse and get out and hit the courts at 4pm with the fellas. artwork for 10/hour? no way guy. very own adventure that one. the rustic is going heavy, heavy, socialistic. It needs a worker bee insurrection. Insist on a social secure practices extensive style and DNA attempting out in case you get government money in any shape or length in any style as "information". All furthur and ongoing requests could be submitted for computing gadget analysis on a each year foundation, to verify the quantity a particular man or woman is actual recieving. via fact they do die as quickly as and a on an identical time as and nevertheless the tests are cashed, little doubt. Hate great Brother? Get off the dole, i'm tapped out. desire the dole, then i decide to renowned who you're and why you're nevertheless on it after 15 years. possibly its' precise ok, yet possibly, purely possibly, it is not precise in any respect and we could fix that ingredient throughout so we are able to fairly help, the particularly needy. I recommend even with each little thing, i'm needy too, i desire an incredible style of issues. it fairly is why I artwork.

You know what; you can say anything bad about Socialism all you want, but you'll never know the truth about it. FOX News has made you believe that it's this horrible thing and we'll all be slaves. It goes and shows it's true propaganda colors.
But the fact of the matter is that any step towards Socialism we make is a good one. We've provided for our government from the beginning. It's time they started to provide FOR THOSE WHO NEED IT!!!! Don't forget, you don't have to use the programs just because they're there.
And by the way; to your ending God quote. I didn't see Jesus going around helping people who had tons and tons of money and could make it. No, he went to the blind man in poverty. Clearly, your Biblical values and your Republican values have been fed to you in lies.

Socialism is dead. What made this country great was freedom of opportunity. We've have poor uneducated immigrants who came to this country so they could work hard and provide for their families. Now we have a group of immigrants that come over here to access our wealth through our more than generous government. Worse, we have a class of people who think they have no opportunity and they spend their lives waiting on the mailman to deliver a gov't check. And it is generational. The cycle has to be broken.
The answers to this question opened my eyes as to why people continue to vote for Democrats. Too many people still rely on government as Daddy. So sad.

What happens to the kids who are children of welfare moms who are four years old?
Should we make them get jobs, or just let them starve? Which is your preference?
What about children born to mothers who are on welfare already at the time of their birth? In many states, women cannot collect welfare benefits for children they give birth to after they're already on welfare. Who pays to put food in those kids' mouths then?
Should they get a job, as newborns?

I'm with you, and I'm not.
My head is far beyond your Right thinking.
See, there have been tribes, yes, I'm going pre-civilization, if you call it that,
which have been so poor in the Norhtern parts,
that they have forced the elderly to Take a Long Walk in the Winter.
And freeze to death.
Coudl you do that?
Because there have been people who have had to do it, and I agree with it,
but I am so sheltered, that I don't think I could make my father freeze himself to death when he couldn't help with the daily chores of bare survival,
and I don't think I could throw my defomred infant off of a cliff,
even as much as I beleive that these very biological instincts are necessary in our heavily over-populated world.
It's disgusting, what we propse, but still, the fact is,
biology was made to balance us out,
and technology along with trumped-ip morals have ruined us altogether.
But don't ask me to kill anyone, or deny someone meds.
I have the brain, but not the heart, to do it.

This country is breeding generations that are 100% ddependent on the government. I don't think it is a collective effort by the government to keep these people down, but it does provide a platform for more power - which of course the government thirsts for. Although politicians have good-intentioned plans to help these people and communities, is there ever really any progress? No, of course not. It isn't in the best interest of our government to have self sufficient responsible citizens.
