Married women can have fun too. Dancing with guys, talking with them, but letting them know your married. Is this wrong or is an all girls weekend shopping and getting your nails done?

Getting together with the girls--I think its important that "we women" do have that time with each other. I sure hope its not
shopping and getting nails done-those are things that you can do at anytime-but, getting together with your g/f for a weekend to go dancing( or clubbing as some have called it), talking, laughing and sharing stories, it's a good thing, and IT is okay. Don't "assume" that all married women go for a girls weekend to either cheat, flirt...or whatever...Enjoy your girl friends and never let them go! :)
Have a ball!!

Nothing wrong at ALL with an all-girls weekend, as long as it's not an every weekend thing. A couple of times a year, maybe. There should not be a problem as long as you and your husband trust one another. You should be able to go out with your girlfriends, get your nails done, shop, drink and dance. There's nothing in your marriage vows about never having fun again without your husband, and dancing isn't sex.

Just be sure you'd be ok with HIM doing the same thing. Would you be fine if he and a bunch of guys went away for the weekend, and HE was the one dancing with a bunch of women? If not, then maybe you should refrain from anything like that.

Don't do anything you wouldn't want HIM to do.

I feel like that a girls weekend out should be about anything but trying to prove you are still "interesting" to the opposite sex. If you are happily married, you shouldn't be going to bars and dancing and talking with guys. If you desire to go to the bar scene, go with your husband. If you want to truly have a girls weekend away - pick a hotel with a spa, pack your nail, hair, makeup, bathing suits, and a blender with lots of "girlie" cocktails - sit around, do nails, and tell your stories about life as a married woman, go shopping and all the other stuff you want to do - but no men. If you plan on going "trolling" for men, then it's not for the simplicity of a true "girls" weekend.

Shopping, siteseeing, laying on the beach, go out for a nice dinner. That's what I have done on my girls weekends. I have no desire to hang out or dance with other men. I have a great man at home.

Edited to add: I have been married 28 years. My husband and I usually travel and spend our free time together. About two or three times a year I do a "girls weekend" and he does a "guys weekend" (I call the guys his "posse"). It's loads of fun. I love telling my husband about our trips, and I love hearing the details about his. We are always just a cell phone call away from each other.

Some of the best times of my life! My recommendation though is to make sure there is an even # if it is odd like 3 or 5 someone always get left out or doesnt feel like doing what the group is doing. My girlfriends and I plan a trip about every 3-5 years or so for a long weekend. Husbands love it too, we always come back decompressed, refreshed and happy. Always make some ground rules before you go. We always kept guys out of it. Dancing at clubs, beach, nice dinners & spa. Vegas, South Beach and Myrtle Beach. P.S. my husband would usually take an alternating guy trip. Spring training camp - baseball, big game soemwhere else and Vegas as well.

It means fun, fun, fun..but hanging with the girls...you don't ALWAYS have to involve guys to have a good time. Especially if your married..you have to be careful. I think an all girls weekend is shopping, nails, spas, massages..etc.

Its all about ages and stages. When I was younger we partied and respected our marriages by leaving the party at the club. When we got older it meant leaving the responsibilities of children and husbands mostly for organized tours and such to spend some time out of our busy lives with the girls. Now it means spa and shopping for the grands. I thank my husband for understanding that I needed those few weekends a year for my sanity.

An all girls weekend sounds great, if it is planned in advance just to ensure that hubby can make plans too. I wouldn't want to feel like I was abandoning him with nothing to do....I say nails and spa to answer your question. I married my husband because he is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. My time is precious, if I'm spending time with the girls (which is important) that means spending time with the girls. The only man who deserves any kind of flirty attention from me is my husband.

My sister in law went on an all girls weekend to the lake and went dancing, drinking and having a good time. She was dancing with guys, guys joined them at their table and talking like was said in your question. What she did not know, was that one of her girlfriends picked up her camera thinking it was hers and started taking all kinds of pictures of the evening. Her husband took her camera to work to take some pictures of some brick store fronts for ideas of a store we were building and brought the camera over to my house so we could print some copies and upload the pics. Well, he got quite an eyefull when he saw the pictures of his wife sandwiched between two guys on the dance floor, her running her hands through a guys hair at the table and one of the guys trying to be funny with his hands on her breasts with a big wooohooo look on his face and a smile on her face. He was pissed to say the least, but decided that he would see how she liked it.

Next weekend was a guys weekend to the lake. He took her camera, and had his friend take pictures just like the ones of her on there, his hands on another womans breast, a woman grabbing his crotch, him sandwiched between two hot women on the dance floor and others. When he got home, he hooked the camera up to the computer that she uses very frequently, openend up all the pictures from his weekend and just left them on the screen. She saw them and blew a gasket!! She was going off on a tirade, throwing stuff, yelling and such. He just very calmly went over and openend a different folder that contained the pictures of her and asked her, if you hate it so bad, then why would you do that to me?

They are divorced now...

If you want to go out and dance with other men, you need to do everyone a favor and just remain single. Of course being married does not mean you cannot have fun and enjoy life. However, certain activities, in my opinion, are not healthy in a marriage.
