If you disagree with someone is it just easy to write them off as a retard rather than answer their question? There used to be actual debate here about 7 months ago but it has all turned into childish name calling. Both sides are doing it.

Nobody wants debate. They'd rather put a question out there and have everyone agree with them than someone saying something they can actually debate about.

So I've already been called an abusive hypocrit. People always seem to miss the point. The people calling me names are they ones this question was specifically directed to. Thanks for making my point for me.

I think people do it simply to get their 2 points. There is no reason for childish name calling though, I agree.

There are certain knee-jerk reactions that I cannot control:

If somebody starts a question with: "Why do all (ethnic or social group). . ." the answer is they are a bigot.

If somebody starts a question with: "Why do liberals want to surrender to Iraq when 9/11 happened because Saddam Hussein. . ." the answer is they are an idiot.

If somebody starts out a question by telling me what I believe, as a liberal, based solely on what they hear on the radio and Fox Noise, I will return their spite and call them the sheep that they are, usually after stating what I truly believe as a liberal.

Basically, ask a civil question, get a civil answer. Use some kind of slogan or dumb spelling of liberal or whatever and be relegated to the inane shouters on the sidelines who have no point or thoughts of their own.

I like to debate. I don't care about being called an idiot, I just hate getting reported. I have been suspended twice before:

I agree. It gets old after a while. Not everyone does it though but sometimes I guess people don't want to take the time to give a legit response and result to throwing mud.

Not sure. How come I can't answer political questions without getting violation notices from people who don't agree with my answers? How come I had my account DELTED by yahoo because again, somebody didn't like my answers? I don't cuss, I don't swear, and I try not to say things to make people sound any crazier than they are for asking the questions that they do. Maybe I'm just not "left" enough.

It's because people are filled with hate. Everyone is so concerned about trying to solve America's problems, but no one (Republican and Democrat alike) wants to listen to each other's opinions without attacking them. It's sickening. Why can't eveyrone just grow up?

your an IDIOT. lol
yeah, I've noticed it as well. its the easy way out. instead of debate the issues, just call the other side a jackass and everyone gets pissed. and then it goes downhill from there. OR you get the q's like "why do libtards hate america!?!?!?!??!??!??!?!?!" or "why are cons just like the nazis??!?!/1/1/1/1//1/" which just beg to be made fun of.

You're an idiot! LOL, just kidding. I agree with you, there should be much more of an exchange of ideas rather than name calling.

You, specifically, are quite abusive to other people on this site. I lash out when I'm attacked. If you can present a good, logical, coherent arguing point without being vile and nasty and slamming those who don't agree with you, then I respond in kind.

I am here for debate.

But, seriously... Some of these "Questions" are nothing more than rants to inflame some group of people. Or, they are so foolish that there is no way to answer them.
