I am a diehard Detroit fan. I am sad that we lost---maybe next year. Hopefully Billups stays with us, but even still I think that may have been our last shot at winning the Finals.

I think the Pistons are the only team that had a viable chance of winning against the Spurs.
4th quarter meltdown aside, the Pistons had the upper hand in each of those games. In games 3 and 4, the Cavs hit a barrage of contested 20 footers in the 4th quarter to get ahead, and game 5 was the LeBron James show.
You can count on LeBron going nuts for one game, but they cannot count on hitting 7-8 shots in a row down the stretch (while their opponents miss 7-8 in a row). The Spurs are a great perimeter shooting team, and Duncan's presence will force the Cavs to live and die by their jumpshots.
Further, the Spurs have not logged nearly as many minutes as the Pistons had. Duncan and Ginobili, in particular, are well rested.

I'm always happy when the spurs have a chance to play for the title. Both Detroit and Cavs are good teams, presenting different challenges. However the spurs are playing well and are capable of beating either team.

Detroit is the closest team to my former hometown (well, cleveland being a close second there...but anyways..) so we grew up liking them. I can't say I'm sad, but part of me would like to have seen two of the more powerful teams from each conference go at it. Plus, it would've been nice to see the clean and proper Spurs (except that Bowen clown) against the scumbags from Detroit!
As it is, though, I think it will be a good series. The Cavs will go as Lebron goes, so if he can step it up and play hard it'll go well for them. I think it'll be Spurs in 7, though.

I always like the way they played as a team with solid defense. I really did not like the personalities on the team and as a result I am happy they did not advance.
I like the Cavs. I do not think they are ready...I do not think the "right" pieces are around James yet like a pure shooter and PG.

Hey yeah i'm pissed that Detroit Pistons lost to a bunch underated highschool kids and yeah the Cavs do suck, if it was my Mavericks Lebron could of scored 10,000 Pts and it and still it wouldn't matter becuase my Mavericks would of sweot the Cavs right out of Texas with the 3 Muskuteers of course i'm taking about Dirk Nowitzki, Josh Howard, and Jason Terry on board. Lebron and Gibson could of shot back to back 3 ptrs and still would lose to Dallas because the MVP would not allow Lebron just to fly by the MAVS

It wouldnt have mattered, we would have destroyed whoever came out, Detroit in 6, Cleveland in 5.
It's funny how when someone's team gets beat by a not so great team, they always assume that team will destroy the next team it plays.

Frankly, as long as the Spurs made the finals, I didn't care who they played. But I guess it will be interesting to see how the much-hyped King James measures up.

I am happy another team is finally representing the East. It was getting boring seeing the same teams always winning.
