I need an Engine?

where can I find a Ford F150 4.2 L engine? for less then $2000? My engines Rod bearings are trashed. I either need a new engine or if I buy one of the rod and crank kits and replace it that way would it be the same cost and just as effective? WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO?

i just went thru the same thing on my 01 celica gt-s.what i did was take the crank to a machine shop and they grinded it for $160 w/ new bearings. and i put it back together !thats the best way.if you know how or some one to do it.
