My suggestion would be to wait until you are 3 months then tell him. I’m sure an e-mail would be OK. You need to alwso tell him your plans for after the baby.. (Do you still want to work.. How much.. Special requirements.. etc.) That can probably wait until a little later but the sooner the better for them. But I would wait for 3 months, that’s when the chance of miscarrying greatly decreases. I know you don’t want to hink of that, but it’s the safe route.

Well no supervisor is authorized to ask you your personal business. You tell him when you get ready. Don't let anyone pressure into doing it either. I'm pregnant as well, and the same thing is happening to me on my job too. Some one said to me yesterday that they heard I was pregnant. A good way to not answer the question ( if you are not ready to tell anyone) is to say "who told you that"? Then if they do or don't tell you who said it, you simply say "oh" and move on to talking about something else. They will get the picture. You don't owe any body an explanation. Even if you have to go to the Dr's, just provide them with a note when you come back and that's it. They don't need to know why you went to the Dr's or, what you went for. It's personal. Leave it at that. Don't stress yourself about this mess b/c it's not worth it. You're pregnant. I don't care what they say about me at my job. As long as you are still doing your work, that's all you need to be concerned about. May God Bless You and Good Luck!!

Yes- it is your responsibility to let your boss know as soon as possible so that if you take any time off work to have the baby, he'll have plenty of time to get someone to fill your spot while you're gone. How far along are you? Many women wait until their second trimester to tell their employers, so around 4 months along or so. Also, the sooner you let everyone know about the baby, the sooner they can start planning a baby shower for you!

It would be best for you to tell him before someone else does. He'll respect you as an employee a lot more for it. I didn't get a chance to tell my boss first - I work with my mother-in-law and she couldn't keep her mouth shut for a few days to give me time to inform work! LOL Heck, most of the people there knew before I had a chance to say anything to anyone other then my MIL.
Tell your boss, before he finds out from someone else since word is getting around.

Absolutely tell him before he finds out from someone else. He will want to know when you are due and you will want to know about the company's maternity leave policy. He will probably have more questions about working while you are pregnant. By telling him first you will ensure he gets accurate information and all arrangements can be made in advance.

In the UK, there is a legal requirement to inform your management at 24 weeks. This in theory gives them time to find cover for you during maternity leave.
I definately think that you should tell your Boss yourself, you never know, he may be very helpful to you.

Does it really matter? Does he need to know that you are pregnant? Certainly he will need to know eventually, especially if you intend to put in for maternity leave, but what does it matter? Because of your age? Is it important to you that he NOT know? Why are you worried about telling him or him finding out?

Wait, did the boss get you pregnant? If not, I would wait 3 months to tell him. If yes, I would tell him now - and ask for a raise.
