One can only imagine the paradise we might be living in if Gore had become president. He was elected but alas....

I think he would have.

Gore helped write the infamous plan for the overthrow and occupation of Iraq that the media was so upset about Bush wanting to read his first week in office.

Also, just like Clinton and his war to stop the impending attack on the US mainland by Milosevic & his massive military force, he would not have had to worry about having his nose rubbed in it every day by his friends in the news or entertainment media.

We might have had a sane policy, attacking those that attacked us rather than going on some personal vendetta. We would have raised the CAFE standards so that cars would not burn as much gas and probably found safe and economical alternative energy. We would not be spying on all Americans nor torturing prisoners. We would not have no bid contracts and our soldiers would have been properly provided for with armor and weapons.

As things worked out, if Gore had been elected, where would we be without "an inconvenient truth"?
He has a strange focus on things, like inventor of the internet and the foremost philosopher of global warming.
Someday we will get a convenient truth.

September 11 would have been followed by another attack a month later followed by another attack 2 weeks later followed by another attack 1 week later followed by daily attacks while Gore ran and hid in a bunker. He would already have disbanded the military by the time we were attacked and our taxes would be at 50% just like France. We would have been living in our pristine country with no defences. By now we would all be wearing burkas and praying 5 times a day facing Mecca. So I for one am glad that we had President Bush instead of President Gore.

Gore knows the power of the military budget ballot so he may have, but after watching how Clinton manged his war, also believe it would have been done better. Also was going to add he would not have vetoed UN coalition to give is VP trillions, but that would have been huge mistake.

I'm sure we'd be a country that consists totally of millionaires by now, each environmentally conscious, our air would be pollution free, our water would be crystal clear, we'd all be driving zero emissions cars that get hundreds of miles per gallon of alternative fuel, our kids would all be beautiful geniuses, AIDS would have been cured, and there would be no hunger, anywhere.

Well if Gore was president (We'd probably have a whole different set of problems)
we wouldn't have invaded any country because they wouldn't stand to profit from it financialy they way Cheney and Bush have. A Hussien didn't insult Gore's Daddy the way he insulted GW's Daddy...so there would be no reason to go to "War" at all...

fyi: Al Gore is not the answer to our problems though....

I think Mr. Gore would have opted to stay on the foreign policy path that Carter and Clinton were on. Basically, wring their collective hands, and play the victim.

No, and he wouldn't have let Dick Cheney attack America on 9/11 either.

9/11 was an inside job

Well first lets just say the right man was chosen for the job. Now if goar would have been the one i really think we would have been in more trouble than when Carter or even Clinton was president.. Thank god that did not happen. I can just see it now he would be pushing his nonsence of global warming on us and telling us the sky is falling and dont eat your veggies. Who knows.
