Yes, I really miss those days. We use to ride everywhere on our bicycles now you can't let your kids do that because all of the sickos out there. I really wish our kids could have the same security that we did growing up,they are being cheated out of it.

Yes many years ago. Now a young woman can't go to Wal-Mart, without the fear that some insane, evil person will abduct her and murder her. What a Shame! It scares the heck out of me!

Wow......my sister and I used to go to the mall all the time just for fun.....back in the mid 60's........
and now with the latest tragedy of a young girl going to TARGETS just to pick up something...and she never made it home...and she had just graduated from high school a couple of weeks ago....and now she's gone forever......and WHY!!!!!!

I remember. You could go almost anywhere and be safe.
I have a hard time letting mine go to the end of the block these days. What a sad world.

how very sad. her body was found and a suspect arrested, but that doesn't help her family all that much. and yes, i do remember hanging out, and playing all over the neighborhood without thinking of anything but having fun. the world is too much with us lately......

it still is where I live, are you talking about that girl that was abducted from Target ? Yes I think kids should not go alone or most young girls. They need to travel in groups of 3 at least

When I think about all the things I did when I was younger, it makes me sad because I know that our society isn't as safe as it used to be.

yep, I remember those days. we use to go by ourselves in the mall, the amusement park, the stores, the park, the schools.
me and my brothers were probably so ugly no one wanted to kidnap us.
