Hi

In theory you shouldn't as you will be earning money. In practice though, does anyone who gets money from a car boot declare it as extra income??

If it is a one off then I would do the car boot. If you are unlucky enough to get grassed up then claim you were helping a friend and you didn't get any money for it. If you plan to do it regularly then talk to your advisor at the job centre for the legal/proper way to go about it.

Hope this helps

Good Luck

Dean

You can sell off your old / second hand / unwanted goods.

You can't run a Business without telling them = doing so means you are not available for work, not to mention Tax Inspectors go to Car Boot sales and write down car numbers of anyone who looks like they are running a business (which is way all those Pirate CD/DVD guys turn up in hire vans these days) ...

You might want to consider the reverse - people go to Car Boot (and Charity Shops) buy up cheap items & sell them off on ebay .. you will be amazed at how many (American) idiots on ebay will bid up any old junk they think is "antique", especially anything connected with the Royal Family .. Royal Wedding plates, Dianna Mugs ...
