live in lawrence, ms and cannot find any other isp that doesn't use dialup.

Looks like there may be cable service, depending on your location. If you are in a rural home, dial-up may be the only option unless you want to spend $80.00-100.00 per month for satellite broadband.

Broadband internet can be provided by cable tv (CATV), phone companies (DSL), and by wireless broadband carriers.

You need a land phone line for DSL. You need a cable tv line but not necessarily cable tv service for cable internet. Wireless broadband requires special receiver devices depending upon the carrier.

I do not know what you can get in Lawrence, MS but I would check and see what is available and go from there.

Yes. If dial up is the only thing offered in your area, then unfortunately, you will have to have home phone service.

have the choice of wireless connection with sprint, att etc.
