I had that form of contraception, but it took us a year to concieve after having it removed. i was told that I was able to start trying to concieve straight away however, but that didn't happen.
Though, we did not use ovulation kits or the like, so I don't know if the year it took to conceive was because of residual implant hormones etc, or because my partners sex drive is rather minimal!!
Sorry, I know this isn't a straight answer. But it took us a year to conceive again (I was age 20 at the time).

Ever since I got the implanon removed I have been ttc#2 for 2yrs & 4mths. Yep, that long I know. I didnt have absolutely NO problems conceiving#1 & needed no help whatsoever. & ever since I had the implanon in then got it removed, ive been ttc#2 for 2yrs. Ive heard nothing but horror stories with the implanon & my friend even said its made her infertile, she can no longer have children anymore all cause the implanon done something to her. I regret even getting the implanon & I will NEVER get it ever again. look at me,, ive been ttc#2 for 2yrs ever since I got it removed. Its literally the worse thing ive ever done to myself, I HIGHLY doubt that your friend will conceive as quick as she thinks she will. The implanon is a BAD thing to get done & shouldnt even be a contraceptive

Hi - I am in same siutation had my implant out on 4th april - had a period a couple of days later as scheduled. was told i am ready to concieve immediately. my cycle turned in to a 54 day cycle instead of my normal spot on 28 days. So needless to say i spent a couple of weeks regularly doing pregnancy test and having negative results. When my period finally came i thought great - i can start again and felt full of enthusiasm.
however i am testing evryday for ovulation and nothing - so i think my cycle is still cocked up!!!!!!!
You aint on your own - i think it takes a bit of time. But good luck and baby dust to you

I've had the implanon, and i had it in for 2 yrs, the doctor said it would take months to get pregnant, but for me it only took a few days after getting it out..... it may be different in your case and how your body reacts to it being removed...
I hope that helps.... good luck
