It depends on the browser. On google chrome, I have to go to Options>Under the Hood>Delete Browsing Data. On Internet explorer I believe it is Tools>Delete Browsing History (or maybe just 'Browsing History'). I have similar experience visiting...ehem...certain sites, and so the best way I have discovered to block browsing history from showing up in the first place is: 1. Download the Google Chrome Browser. It is the fastest for internet use out there. Better than firefox. 2. Open the browser, and then hit Control-Shift-N to open an "Incognito Browser." With this Browser you can do whatever you want, and it will not record any browsing history. It is very convenient.

you can also use Mozilla Firefox for your browser, rather than Internet Explorer, and it deletes history automatically when you log off.
Its available on line as a FREE download
