Almost, last Saturday night. Struck a tree about 20 feet from me. I was outside at the time getting in my car. I was looking right at the tree when it happened. After getting over the initial shock (no pun intended) it was pretty cool.

No, but I did have a near miss - there was a strike on a tree in a field where I was camping - very spectacular, and it only took me a couple of days to clean my sleeping bag!

I have a narrow escape once. I went to the corner shop and there was this massive bang right next to me, and i legged it quickly.
